So you say there shouldn't be purely skill players. OK. But McLeod is a purely physical player. Yes, its a sport, and sports are physical, but they also REQUIRE skill. We don't get points for fights, we get points for goals. McLeod is a detriment to every line we put out, and our overall ability to win a game in today's fast, skill-driven, but still physical sport. You want to get more physical? Go find more Fasts. You want to lose games? Play McLeod on the first line.

You do realize he was a competent member of the Stanley Cup runner up team right?
So by your thinking he's a detriment to this team?
Really??!

You should spend a bit more time ragging on the players that were signed to be the difference makers IMO.
You know..Zbad, Shatty, Smith?? Lol

I actually am beginning to feel bad for McD at this point. He’s embarrassing himself. Destroyed his trade value to Toronto that’s for sure

It’s a rebuild.

You have to be pretty damned skilled to overlook physicality.

The great one needed a full line of goons on the Oilers' roster just to keep from getting killed.

Think of the Kings or other better teams than the Rangers who didnt hit a home run with a Crosby pick. [Even the prime Crosby year teams had some pretty dirty fellow such as Orpik in the lineup].

Whether or not it was in response, thats what happened, and scoreboard
You people legitimately seem like you don’t know hockey. They didn’t show up period and were done in early by our captain with a ridiculous turnover and our franchise goalie who couldn’t stop a beach ball. Yet you complain about a new waiver pick up who played 10 minutes because you have an axe to grind. So sad!

Like I said..McLeod was a competent member of the Stanley Cup runner up team.
You really think he's a detriment to this team?

Yes, I do.

But I also understand that he is but a kernel of corn in the turd.

>Team still gives up almost 60 shots every night

>Fans still talking about grit and physicality

This entire fanbase is made up of AV's.

I'm of firm belief that nothing will fix this team right now and as much as I despise AV, his firing won't help at the present moment either..

That was a whole generation ago, man. Orpik is not McLeod. He can play the position. That's the whole point. You need players who are physical BUT WHO CAN ALSO CONTRIBUTE OTHERWISE

Yeah I suppose that will stop Smith, Shatty and Zbad from sucking the life out of everything..NOT

I don't know about Zibanejad, but yes, that's exactly what it would do for the other two.

Smith and Shattenkirk were good until they got here.

You and like two other people on this board arent happy with the Zib deal. You'd think you'd get the hint by now. Otherwise, I don't think you read my posts. No one here is more critical of Smith than me.

Maybe in a fantasy league but in the NHL, THEY HAVE ALWAYS SUCKED!

The fantasy league is in your mind.

You never watched Shattenkirk and Smith on their old teams and we all know you refuse to even look at a stat, as evidenced by the fact that you insist Shattenkirk is a minus player.

You dislike them because you decided not to like them. You're AV.

OK let's forget Smith and Shatty just for the sake of your argument.
What has Zbad done exactly, not ony this year but EVER to make you think he's such a superstar?
