About who’s responsible for moves - it’s not all on the manager or coach. Example, they talk, coach says he needs a physical play and lists his reasons. McLeod gets on waivers, they talk again and the player is claimed. Don’t tell me coach not to blame. Not just from a fans perspective but also from managers in the same way when coach misused a player, instills faulty system or can’t motivate players as a group.

Why do you guys keep thinking Smith will “bounce back”? This is not a guy who was consistently good his whole career and has suffered since coming to the Rangers where we can say “it’s the system” he’ll bounce back under a different coach. This is a guy who was NEVER as good as he was for ~25 games after being traded, in the biggest contract year of his career. There’s nothing for him to bounce back to. We signed the player we are getting. He elevated his game to impress his new team on a playoff run with big money and career implications on the line. He’s got damn near $20M coming in over four years now. Nothing is on the line and he’s right back to his old game. If anything he “bounced back” to normal, very mediocre Smith.
