You don't play your way off an NHL roster because you want to be with your dad......If that was the case Nolan would have just asked for a trade.

Nolan just looks complacent when he plays. He's lost that hunger he had when he was brought up, when he would hit or fight to get the team going. When was the last time he fought someone to get the team going, let along stand up for a teammate after getting drilled [yes, i'm still pissed he didn't go after the Flames player after he ran Kopitar into the boards the next shift]?

It might have something to do with his Suspension. Since that happened , Nolan's game has been off. Playing timid due to repeat offender status, makes more sense.

You don't watch Gio play then , the guy is a dominant defender, having a career year. Next your going to tell me Weber is overrated.

What if you factor in the greater amount of ice time and better defensive stats though that Doughty has though? Isn't it fatigue that can cause Drew to make dumb **** plays?

That's why there's something going on with him that fans just aren't aware of. He has the talent and ability and yet, somethings wrong.

Feels like a pretty sure bet that we'll see Shore in next game, I see no reason for Nolan to be in the lineup. Andreoff didn't have much pop in his game either but he got better as the game went on and had a little energy.

If Doughty continues this up tick of production and ice time. Then I would say Drew has a good shot.

But if the season ended this week (which it doesn't ), I would give the Norris to Gio. Weber of course is always going to be a contender, probably Keith as well.

Agreed, we'll see at the end of the season.

Andreoff is a plus 0. That is gold for a 4th line rookie, you can keep your Trent Hunter, I'll take Andy any day.

Dude, he's averaging like 7 minutes a game. Not exactly impressive to be at plus 0 considering that. Schultz is averaging twice as many minutes.

Neither is great. Of course as a rookie I expect AA to make mistakes but I just don't see any plus so far from the guy. Not like McNabb where you can see the upside. To be fair, AA hasn't even hit double digits yet so he hopefully has a lot of room left to grow. I'm just not sold on him yet.

I will refrain as best I can...

Haha,

You know, you love Trent Hunter.

Hair migration, LOL!

I remember Islander fans responses when we signed him. They went something like this -

I'm sorry.
Why?
I thought Dean knew what he was doing.
He'll be in the A soon enough.
Gross.
Thanks.
RIP Kings.

And just like that Kopitar is back to an even rating meanwhile the ppg continues to climb. he's been playing like the monster we know he is for a good while now.

I am actually more impressed with how Brown is back to looking like 2012 Brown, and he has nothing to show for it.

At some point, production has to come for the guy. Brown is doing literally everything right, even going to the net hard.

I feel for you Brownie.

Yup. Like I said earlier, 150 point pace since he came alive. Ridiculous.

Amen. Glad I'm not the only one. People are comparing his play to Richards in that 'other' thread and I'm just here scratching a bald spot onto my head.

Side note:

Drew Doughty HAS to be leading the race for Norris trophy this year, right?

Article on Doughty for Norris, for those that are interested. Finally starting to get some recognition.

guys. Guys. GUYS!

Doughty is pretty much never going to win the Norris trophy, like ever. Only way it happens is if everything east of the Mississippi is swallowed by the Atlantic ocean.
