All of our prospect get over rated and over hyped. He is probably a 3rd liner in 2 to 3 years. Nothing to do backflips over and not worthy of a first round pick. You get good players in the 2nd round.

He wasn’t drafted in the 1st round and I think most people are projecting him to develop into a good third line center. Don’t think that’s overhyping Minten up. Lol

I said he wasnt worthy of a first rounder not that was drafted there. Those other Gms arent dumb. He went in the 2nd round for a good reason.

Minten was injured ending last season (which could explain his lack of production in the WHL playoffs + Mem Cup.

He's looked quite good in this prospects tournament. A lot more skill than he showed towards the end of last season. Excited to see what he brings in an exhibition game or two.

This.

GMs don't pass over first-round talent and let it fall to the 2nd.

Here's my prediction.

Barring career altering injury - which can happen at any time - Fraser will at a minimum turn out as a solid third liner.

And likely that will be his ceiling as well, however I hope that he will exceed that.

As an aside, obviously anyone paired with Bedard would benefit, but if Fraser and Connor were re-united, it would be something else. They had a synergy that I haven't seen since Sullivan and Nylander.

Minten will return to junior but he will come out of this experience stronger. Next year, he will have a unique chance to make the club. He has the talent to easily be a top 6

The 2-way game is already pretty good, he's gonna be 1C on his team in the WHL and then maybe could make the team next year.

I wouldn't even be mad at him getting 1-2 games this year to start.

One of the better non-NHLers in camp.

One of the best centers of all time wasn't a 1st. rounder, and wasn't high scoring either, and he just retired.

Minten did have a somewhat Bergeron-like style and was making things out of nothing in preseason. He’s such a pure center when it comes to processing the game.

Good looking prospect. Will play in lot of situations in Junior and will add 5 lbs by next camp and have legit chance to make the team next year.
