Let’s be real, MLSE only bought the Argos because they desperately needed an owner and TSN wanted to protect the value of their CFL broadcast rights.
It’s not like anyone cared about the team before MLSE bought them.agreed.
and that's the problem.
It's similar to the Sens ownership. It is the fans fault, the cities fault, or the ownership's fault there? The owners.
Just like the Argos.
There isn't a single reason why MLS/TFC should be any more supported, except MLSE elevated that product to the top, while shitting on the Argos.
What 25ish years ago?i'm not sure if you are aware, but the Argos filled 60K in the Skydome.
MLSE didn’t even own the team thenjust one example...of far too many:

I would just like to point out that Ottawa had multiple issues with the CFL and lost their team. So did Montreal, twice. Also still have issues with stadiums in Atlantic Canada and support in Quebec City. This is an eastern canada, and not just a Toronto problem.CFL is huge in Hamilton and Ottawa. (more popular than the Sens). Out west (aside from Vancouver) CFL is life.
It's just the "we are too cool" city of Toronto that doesn't see the CFL as a premiere league.
Toronto is the only city that thinks being in the XFL is better than the CFL. Toronto's willingness to be cuckolded to get access to the US marketplace is ... well ... unfortunate.
This is completely fair. It's the age old question of money or morals."almost"
could you imagine this board.
NHL Conference Final. Game 7. Player on opposing team breaks a rule set forth at the beginning of season. Rule says if you break me, you have to quarantine for 4 days. Fine.
Earlier in the season a "leaf player" breaks the rule, and the 4 day quarantine is assessed - player misses game. Fine.
However, this time the opponent who breaks the rule, and such shouldn't be allowed to play the game 7 (game within 4 days) - the league makes an exception. Changes the rule. Says ok, you only have to quarantine for two days and two nights - not four.
You can still play the conference championship.
If that happened in the NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB, it would break the god damned internet.
But here, because it's Toronto, the CFL changes the rules so QB can play.
Absolutely despicable!!!

Winning a championship is hard. If we can’t beat the Argos at their best we certainly aren’t going to beat the Bombers next week.
