He absolutely was a journeyman until this past year.
let me educate you:
a journeyman is a reliable and competent player who has a long career by moving frequently from team to team, instead of staying with one franchise.
He has only played for 1 team his entire career, therefor CANNOT be called a journeyman!!

I'll believe it when I see it...they still have the best coach in the league, hopefully Hedman is healthy and they're a desirable place to play
Well thats the wild card, if he returns and is healthy tampa maybe doesn't miss a beat. But hes turning 36 this year and doesn't have anything left to prove while dealing with some personal stuff. I personally have no ill will towards the lightning but Raddysh was a major factor in their success this year.

The Leafs just got a defenceman coming off 70 points for a 5th and 8.5M in capspace.

Edmonton got Walman with a career high 32 points at the same age for a 1st + 7M in capspace.

Maybe focus on your team's worse contracts instead.
paying a 30-year old guy 8.5 based on one good season is a regrettable contract
I get the cope and I get the desperation for the Leafs but it's nuts

You're clearly in your feelings about this. You haven't been able to walk away from my first response. Someone needs a hug lol.
And there's the childish response lol. Accuses someone of not being able to walk away while you continually respond to said person. Ok lol. But hey laughing is an emotion so I guess your right to some degree lol.

That's literally what I said, the only team I am 100% taking over Toronto on that list is Florida. Especially if they get Hellybuck

With the rest we'll see how the off-season plays out and who does what
ya I misread

I'll still take a TB team until they actually fall off
Buffalo is elite now with a Norris trophy contender on the back end
Montreal is young and growing and getting better...coming off a Conference final
Sens are young and elite analytically

Walman was given that contract partially for his outstanding play in getting Edmonton to the SCF, but I forgive Leafs fans of the last couple generations for not knowing what that is.

Concepts, man, concepts!

I just can't wrap my head around Tampa signing the player to an 8-year extension to benefit a division rival with the extra year to keep the AAV down and only getting compensated with a 5th round pick.

I would understand more if we were talking about a 3rd round pick. But a 5th round pick is a long shot to ever contribute anything to the organization. Just a strange deal if you ask me.
