Jeff Finger 2.0?
Giordano had his 'career' season at 32 for Goals, and at 35 for Points... take that with a grain of saltThis guy had a career year at age 30, all the power to him. But to expect even the 50-60pt range will be his new normal seems a bit far fetched to me, no?
I didn’t hear it. I know it as a fact. Caledon is a very small and close knit community. Especially in the hockey circles.Where did you hear that the Raddysh family are Leafs season ticket holders?
This guy had a few posts in that thread basically sayin hes heard Raddysh wants to come to Toronto.
Offense isn't everything and how you should ever just judge a dman. I do not get how this still has to be evaluated.Your expectations seem out of whack. Theres a single 70 point d man that makes in the 8m. Every other one makes more. Even if he hits 50-60 it is still not an outrageous over pay. Oilers are paying Walman 7m...
He was PP2 previously. Of his 70 points in the two years prior to this one, 16 (3g, 13a) came on the PP.My understanding is he did not get PP time when he was putting up 35 points. He will be our undisputed #1PP dman on a unit with Matthews, Nylander, Knies, and McKenna most likely.
My expectations are 40-50 points
He's ok. He was pretty good/above average in the regular season without being sheltered much, but has been sheltered much more in the playoffs while being less effective. How is he on the defensive side of the game? I assume not all that good?
The term really doesn't matter much imo, the Leafs are going to be rebuilding in approximately 3-5 years anyway.
That's a bad contract. Product of the systemToronto has a ton of space, and this would be an amazing pick up. Hope it’s true!
I am not trying to hijack the thread, but there was someone on instagram years ago who’s friends with McDavids wife that said he’s going to Toronto when his time in Edmonton is done.
Well, that's poor management from Tampa. They clearly have a need for an offensive defenseman, PP QB. You sign Raddysh and trade away a 3rd line player to make room for the extra $2 million needed.
They offered Raddysh $5.75 mil, they clearly don't see him as worth more than that.
One thing for sure I noticed in the Tampa Montreal series, is Tampa is a team of grinders with a few offensive players, that were easy to shut down. Their offensive depth has taken a huge hit from not wanting to pay Raddysh. Considering the tax situations in Florida and Ontario, they could have probably got him for $7.5 - $8 mil.
Tampa's talent decline continues. They will miss the playoffs in 26-27. Maybe even Toronto takes their spot.
Not if people like Darren Raddysh are getting 8 lol. Byram just turned 25 I’m sure there’s plenty of appetite to get that number to him and a year left of play at 6 million.Sure, but signing up to pay him 10M+ lowers his value in a trade.
Gee, if only they had a hall of fame offensive defenseman sitting around somewhere. That would be nice, I think. No, no way that’s possible. I doubt he could possibly take over Darren Raddysh’s role on the power play.

Not saying he’s going to return us Knies or something but Sabres will get a useful player for him and try and replace Tuch through the aggregate.
Raddysh is a free agent in a week, Byram has another year left on his contract and is 6 years younger than him most of the year. What did Raddysh return in a trade? If you're happy with a 5th round pick - sure.
What are you talking about? Dobson was great value. This is not. There are more recent examples of terrible D contracts... Dobson being one...
This actually appears to be better value.
Sure it can not only for Toronto, but for any team. It shouldn't stop teams from doing business, and it won't.Lol Toronto! Nothing can go wrong.
You mean the guy who missed a lot of last season, clearly declined, turns 36 soon, and is far past his prime, who was musing about possibly retiring?Gee, if only they had a hall of fame offensive defenseman sitting around somewhere.
