  • Congrats to our latest Sportsbook winners - GOLD MEDAL kihei, SILVER MEDAL fish7 and BRONZE MEDAL Sammy Kat - new tournament begins today 6/15
No. Trading Nylander and Matthews this offseason, when both have full NMCs, and one just had a horrendous season, when we also don't have our 1sts in either 2027 or 2028 would end up being the worst idea that any professional team in any sport ever had or will have.
I agree with not trading Matthews and Nylander. I also don't believe those two can lead a team to a Cup. It makes more sense to go after guys that will take short term deals. Buy time til McKenna takes over the team and has some younger players to build around.

Way back in 2008? Some notoriety! You can look at Elias Pettersson for modern day example of a player and team notorious for stupid.

Yeah I’m just curious how low they valued him. They seem to have a knack for when to bail.
Oh, OK I don't know but I sure someone else knows or at least the scuttlebutt.
Technically the Lightning signed him to the 8.5 AVV.

Not a bad deal for Toronto.....if Raddysh can emulate his past season, they I am sure the Leafs could get a few good seasons for sure out of him.....and even if he turns out to be a dud, with the rise in the Cap, this wouldn't even really hurt the leafs down the road.....

Leafs are hoping Raddysh last season wasnt a massive outlier.

Tampa hoping that it was....and so was Hedman's.

What were their TOI in the playoffs?
The 5 of them did all play together in 11 games in 2026 (not counting a game in which one of them left early with an injury). Raddysh averaged the most minutes (about 4 minutes and 20 seconds more than the next player). However, they were not all completely healthy during that time.

Fans seem to believe that every player will sign for any team at some number.

It's just not true. He's UFA. Sometimes the player wants to stays, sometimes he doesn't. Sometimes he wants to maximize dollars, sometimes he's looking for a better role or opportunity, sometimes he is looking for a specific location, or any number of things. We have no idea.

The Leafs would have paid Marner more than Vegas did. The player wasn't interested.
