No they signed a UFA. In his prime years. For under market valueIt 3 years he will be 33/34?
Toronto did not just sign a typical #1 defenseman in their prime years at a discount.

I bet it's going to be 7 x 10M+.. Oh boy..
Raddysh hasn’t played a ton and is 30. The last couple of years likely not great but by then the cap could be 200 Million.Toronto: Where the rebuild means getting older.
Cmon-I could pull out dozens and dozens of posts by devils fans saying move him, his play and cost are killing us.No one is outraged he’s on the roster, in fact, most if not all Devils fans want Nemec gone over Hamilton
Exactly. Anything over 40-45 points and a top PP dman is what we have been missing badlyMy understanding is he did not get PP time when he was putting up 35 points. He will be our undisputed #1PP dman on a unit with Matthews, Nylander, Knies, and McKenna most likely.
My expectations are 40-50 points
He has interesting underlying numbers we will see it's still riskyMy understanding is he did not get PP time when he was putting up 35 points. He will be our undisputed #1PP dman on a unit with Matthews, Nylander, Knies, and McKenna most likely.

You have to admit, you don’t hate this move.8 is avg
Older guy
Big year last year
Is it an amazing contract if he goes back to being a 35 point dman?
For a 70pt D man for sure, I'm much more curious what Raddysh's going to be in the next couple of years.8.5. Thats solid eh??
I think if he hits 50 points, the Leafs are going to be happyFor a 70pt D man for sure, I'm much more curious what Raddysh's going to be in the next couple of years.

What do you think he should have got, with a rising cap and being the #1 UFA?Ridiculous term and $

Yeah, no more live threads does that to you.I bet you it's not

8 years is the thing maybeI honestly don't see how it is risky. The only big name players needing a deal in the coming years are Matthews and McKenna I guess both being a few years away.
Leafs still have 25+million of cap space with their entire team signed. They can still go out and sign Tuch to 11-12M if they wanted and still be able to add a few more solid players with their space left.
And by year 4, the cap will be 30 million higher and 8.5M will be 5.5M today
is what he meansRaddysh appears to be the type of player the Leafs need. Puck-mover, PP QB, put up points in regular season. Hard shot.
The only word of caution would be why Tampa didn't make a big effort to resign him, and traded him to a division rival. You'd think Tampa would want to keep Raddysh considering Hedman is on his last legs. They don't have any prospects that can step into this role next season.
