He has citizenship. He's ineligible to play for Canada at this point. That's the nicest I'll put it.
of course he wont play for Canada....no way, same way Chychrun probably wont play for USA

but i didn't know Hutson had Canadian citizenship, usually people don't carry 2 citizenships so im a little stunned at this.

I’d be fine going back to Cooper as long as he gets no say in roster building, but it’s very difficult to watch Carolina play and think Brind’amour is not the coach with the best tactical nous and buy in in the NHL. If there’s going to be a switch, he’s the man
I don't want Cooper anywhere near this team anymore. The roster construction was far too defense-first and lacked the offensive depth needed to maximize Canada's talent.

Unfortunately, he only gets one chance, and in my opinion he missed the mark when it came to building the roster. Canada has an endless supply of elite offensive players, yet the team often looked overly cautious and too reliant on a small group of stars to generate scoring.

I also think there was too much emphasis placed on familiarity and existing relationships, particularly with players connected to Tampa Bay and Makar/Toews. When you're selecting Team Canada, the priority should be icing the best possible lineup, not recreating NHL comfort zones. The roster should be built around talent, balance, speed, and scoring depth above all else.

Canada doesn't lose because it lacks talent. It loses when management overthinks the process and tries to outsmart what is already obvious: put the best players in the world on the ice and let them play.

A lot of people, in particular athletes are duals. In hockey you see a lot of dual American/Canadian citizens. Lane's father is Canadian.
