What was false? Gaudette and Abramov are quite literally just contract spots. They are of negative value if anything. They aren’t anything to even think about other than a number to make the deal work.

Almost the whole Blues team is in the negatives. Including guys like Schenn and Kyrou. Calle Rosen leads the team in that category.

ROR can play in a comfortable spot for Toronto.

I'm sure all of this is true, but let's not pretend that it's somebody having a good season that all of a sudden people are now ragging on because he got traded to Toronto, like Persecution Complex was insinuating.

Good deal for the leafs imo... and I absolutely hate that team being a ranger fan based in leaf land.. but their biggest weakness imo is their bottom 6 and it has drastically improved. Assuming O'Reilly gets a boost from this trade.. which I think he will

It all depends on what Ryan O'Rielly you get. I like it in theory, but theories don't always work in practice. Acciari seems like decent depth for the bottom 6 which we need.
Curious where they slot O'reilly. If he takes Kerfoot's role on the 3rd line to help give us a shutdown line with experience, could be ok. Our window is closing or changing soon...if we lose in round 1, you gotta have a total overhaul of management.
