Lol, look at everyone, ROR nets a hattie against the youngest, most inexperienced roster in the NHL with a kid rookie goalie and all while playing with an in its prime stacked roster and all of a sudden his woes are solved 🤣

News Flash, Buffalo is still a young, very young, rebuilding team, wait until ROR has to square up on a regular basis against the easts best, Boston, Tampa, Carolina, let's see how he fairs then lol

As a Leafs fan, I was a bit uncertain about the trade, wasn’t sure how much ROR had left in the tank, was a bit worried it’d be Foligno 2.0. Obviously it’s only been 3 games, but so far so good, have been impressed by both ROR and Acciari (especially ROR).

The real measure of the trade will come in the playoffs, but I’ve gone from a bit uncertain/pessimistic about the trade, to cautiously optimistic. So far it looks like ROR has plenty in the tank, just needed a change in scenery. If ROR remains a strong 2-way top 6 forward for us, and Acciari remains a valuable 4th liner, the price for these two will have been very, very reasonable.

This is exactly what blues fans told you guys. Just wait till he starts causing havoc for other teams best players lol. Ask boston about that.

I think after the dust has settled you really start to see how expensive Meier would have been simply becuase the 3rd team being involved to lower the AAV.

So maybe this was a better play.

Meiers insane salary would have meant Toronto would have had to have paid that 3rd team more than double the picks they gave to Minnesota because the money owed is about 4x higher in real money.

Does it matter if I'm a Buffalo fan? I'm allowed to comment on a trade. This is why hf sucks most the time commenting like this. Everyone thinks you have an "agenda". Don't think it'll end up being the right target imho. I have nothing against Toronto other than I love watching them play Buffalo.

He had a great night but that doesn't mean he'll keep it up. My comment was before his great game.

Precisely why ROR was my #1 target, because of the options it gives them, they can have the the best center depth whenever they want.

Or they can load up the top 6

Or they could load up the top line and go.
