About the same level he checked out in Buffalo before they traded him and Colorado before they traded him. He does have a pattern. He has to play on wining teams or the losing grinds on him. That's how winners should be. Losing should eat at their very soul.Wow, how hard did he checked out in St. Louis!
Did I specfically mention you sir.Go back to my thread about ROR to the Leafs, find 1 time where I said that.
49 pages you won't find it.
He is not with the Blues now. In fact, he said he loves playing with Marner and Tavares. He already stated that he wants to stay with blues...
He wants to come back and he will be back. Also how do you figure to fit 6 mil in next year?He is not with the Blues now. In fact, he said he loves playing with Marner and Tavares.
You have no idea what he is going to do in the off season. He wants to come back and he will be back. Also how do you figure to fit 6 mil in next year?
And if he fairs well then you'll just push the narrative in a different direction.Lol, look at everyone, ROR nets a hattie against the youngest, most inexperienced roster in the NHL with a kid rookie goalie and all while playing with an in its prime stacked roster and all of a sudden his woes are solved
News Flash, Buffalo is still a young, very young, rebuilding team, wait until ROR has to square up on a regular basis against the easts best, Boston, Tampa, Carolina, let's see how he fairs then lol
He may go back, he may stay, he may go elsewhere. I think he resigns. If he does, the Leafs would make it work just like any other club would. He wants to come back and he will be back. Also how do you figure to fit 6 mil in next year?
ROR is increasing his value for one more big contract - he’s not giving hometown discounts to Toronto or the Blues. I think it will require at least 5 per to extend him.He may go back, he may stay, he may go elsewhere. I think he resigns. If he does, the Leafs would make it work just like any other club would.
Tavares said he wanted to stay in New York. Kovalchuk said he wanted to stay in Atlanta. Richards said he wanted to stay in Dallas. When will people learn that this statement doesn't mean anything? He already stated that he wants to stay with blues...
Pointing out where the opponent sits with its current roster combined with who ROR plays with to formulate a "let's see how he does against formidable opponents" is ridiculous? Ok.And if he fairs well then you'll just push the narrative in a different direction.
How ridiculous does it sounds to discredit everything that is done against Buffalo. I guess whatever any player does in a game against Buffalo is useless.

Don't you guys consistently say you know Matthews will be back and won't be leaving after next season? You have no idea what he is going to do in the off season.
Its like deja vu, new player has a great game, are the leafs the best at?.....

I think Leaf fans need to get over the idea of hometown discounts. ROR and his agency team is historically ruthless in negotiations - he has his cup, he’s not taking a discount.Hard to say. He's earned $76.5M so far in his career. The dilemma would be $25M more over 5 years or $12M more over 3 with the Leafs?
Other teams... 5x $5M+ (age 32/33 - 36/37) = $25M ($101.5M)
vs
Leafs.. 3x $4M max (age 32/33 - 34/35) = $12M ($88.5M)
Depends on how much he likes his stay with the Leafs in this playoff run.

Unfortunately I agree, if he performs well down the stretch in playoffs , he will still be in for a big payday. Young enough to still cash in on 3-4 year deal. Whether that’s St. Louis or another team with cap space, don’t see how the leafs can fit him in without moving out other piecesI think Leaf fans need to get over the idea of hometown discounts. His time to take a discount is when he’s 35-37. Not 32 where he has one big contract left, IMO.I don't think it's 0%. It's not 100% but it's not a far reach. ROR has earned a lot of money so his next contract may not be solely based on money.
What kind of discount matters.

Funny how Blue fans said Knies or bust, and now apparently they're happy with a 1st...It's hilarious, leaf fans knew he was junk and dead weight. Just a few days ago. Now they know he is the savior lol. Blues fans told him he was the guy they needed....guess they were right.
Yes he will resign with blues.
"but that one random poster on twitter said........"Funny how Blue fans said Knies or bust, and now apparently they're happy with a 1st...
Stupid painting an entire fan base with one brush, isnt it?
Lots of Leaf fan wanted ROR, and weren't bashing him. Be better.
Simple. Don't sign Bunting to 5-6m.He wants to come back and he will be back. Also how do you figure to fit 6 mil in next year?
