Confirmed Trade: [TOR/STL/MIN] O'Reilly, Acciari, Pillar to TOR; Abramov, Gaudette, ‘23 1st, ‘23 3rd, ‘24 2nd to STL; ‘25 4th to MIN

No Kerfoot in this deal? How is it possible? 95% of HF Toronto proposal involved Kerfoot with the euphemism of “for cap reasons”. LOL

If the Leafs couldn’t include Kerfoot in a swap such as this, can you please stop pushing him in other “deals”?
Not necessary. The Blues retained 50% and the Minnesota retained 50% of that so the Leafs got him at 25% of his full cap hit.

Late first, late second, late third and two minor leaguers. They had to pay in quantity for retention. We'll see 5 years from now if they paid in quality too - though if they manage to win it won't really matter.

I haven't seen the Blues this year, but the numbers indicate his play has fallen off a cliff this year. However, given that the Leafs are paying him like a $2 million player, if he can come in and play like one AND inject his pedigree into the room and hold the right players accountable, that's a win for Dubas.

He found a situation where he found a deal where could see giving up the first rounder. Would you have preferred he said he can and he will.

So you broke the quote. Way to go.

I don't care what he did. You asked a question and I provided an answer.

This is a really good trade for Toronto if O’Reilly can rebound and do what makes him so good. Seems their GM is banking on moves that will make him look either brilliant or like a fool. Expected from someone on the hot seat.

This is really funny considering what NYR paid for Tarasenko.

6 assets is crazy.
Gaudette and Abramov are contract spots - which have negative value. Additionally the Leafs have acquired 2 players. Regardless of what either of us think of the value, your statement is disingenuous.

Honestly, this is a shrewd move by Dubas. He’s not a D but he definitely helps with D. D are incredibly expensive at this point.
