  • We're expeting server maintenance on March 3rd starting at midnight, there may be downtime during the work.
Hopefully we run a proper tandem and don't give either guy 50+ starts. Don't want either of them getting injured by being played to often

Go 45ish for the one who's playing better
And 35ish for the 1B

I dislike 3.8 but i trust on Bobby and if he says itll be one of the '"cheaper' goalie deals today I'm happy with it.

I still think Campbell cements himself as number 1 so a little worried about his contract next season.

I wonder if Ullmark isn't better and if he wouldn't come at a similar if not cheaper cost? I'm not a big Mrazek fan, but I'm still happy we've moved on from Andersen.

Mrazek played in 2 playoff games this year for the Canes going 1 & 1 allowing 8 GA and posting a 3.90 GAA and .873 sv%.

He played in 12 regular season games which was 3rd behind Alex Nedeljkovic who played in 23 and James Reimer who played in 22.

Mess at least post some context, he was injured this year.

\give up more assets we didn't have to get him?

This is an area you can't cheap out though. We give up assets anyway for players that play 9 games for us

Canes needed a goalie and they wanted to move away from Mrazek. Canes feel the same way we feel about Andersen.

If that's good I guess that's good. Mrazek isn't an upgrade at all but what do I know

Ullmark most certainly won't come cheaper. I'll bet he gets 4x5mil. He's definitely a better goalie though

lol no he is not an upgrade from Freddie. Freddie handled a very large workload for several years prior to this year and played at a high level doing so. Mrazek is a backup. Campbell is a backup. Dubas showing again that he has no idea how to evaluate goalies. Freddie>Mrazek and it’s not close.

Freddie didnt look like he was playing at a high level every single playoffs letting in backbreaking softies like it was his job. Good riddance

Ullmark had great numbers on a TERRIBLE team, i see him north of 5 but i guess time will tell, its a weird free agency lol.

But yes, anyone but Andersen, their numbers side by side are very favourable for our new buddy.

At this point, it's a wait and see. Im indifferent about this.

I am no longer getting my hopes up about anything, doesn't matter who we get really.

This team has lacked making a deep playoff run for years and im mentally exhausted.

OUR CORE needs to play better, period. If Matthews, Marner, Nylander all played extremely hard, put everything on the line in the playoffs, this team can be seriously dangerous. Until then, this team will never make it far.

Not negativity, just keeping it 100.

Can he score? I don’t think goaltending was the problem here.

You think Campbell can handle a full season schedule? He always gets hurt, and what if last season was a fluke?

Idk how to even feel about this but we needed a goalie and I guess we got one. Not a whole lot of space left here and imo a lot to change still

???? - Matthews - Marner
???? - Tavares - Nylander
Robertson - ????? - ??????
Brooks - Spezza - Simmonds

Removing Mikheyev, Engvall and Kerfoot creates around 6.5 Million. I wouldn't mind keeping Kerfoot but Mikhy and Engvall suck.

He played in 12 regular season games which was 3rd behind Alex Nedeljkovic who played in 23 and James Reimer who played in 22.

That was an outlier. His career playoff stats are:

2.43 GAA
.911 SV%

I like this signing. He's the ideal type of platoon goaltender that we needed, and the price is reasonable.

3.8 is meh... but we save 1.2m from what Freddy would want. Were finally running a real goaltender tandem.
