Don't resort to name calling
I didn't. If you are not kyle's immediate family or connected to him and you defend this deal then you lose all credibility. Even if murray becomes good, this deal f***ing is horrific.

End of the day Morgs has been defending dubas (and you as well to be fair) for everything. Call a spade a f***ing spade. This deal is ass. Period.

I just don;t understand why Murray was his first option. even if there's a deal that could be made Dubas should have seen how the market went or what others would cost. hell giving up a little for a better chance over taking assets and cap space for free if the return is f***ing Matt Murray who seems to not be the goalie he was in PIT before they also moved on from

Hi leaf fans, was wondering if stolarz made sense for a back up plan for MM…. Dostal is ready to jump in…. And seems highly unlikely we move gibson.

Stolarz is on last year of his contract, has put up solid numbers and his contract is essentially nothing
Don't want dubas trading with anyone else he is a complete joke.

Good. This will finally be the nail in the coffin that will take Dubas out of town. No one in their right mind could defend this move.

Leafs were better off keeping Mrazek as their starter.
Oh the Dubas Defenders will be here soon, if they're not already. But you did qualify your statement by saying "no one in their right mind".

This just boggles the mind. Murray can win the Vezina next year and it still doesn't make this trade, today, on pure value, any better.

We know Ottawa dealt him to buffalo with the 7th for the 16th. The value jump in that is surely worth at least a late first. So how do you, as a GM, approach this deal, knowing that Ottawa is willing to give up about a 1st, and then settle for a 3rd.

Boggles the mind.

If you go by the various charts the drop from 7th to 16th is worth about 35-40 depending on the chart. An early third plus plus an early 7th is fairly close to that value so it's not nearly as bad as you think from that perspective anyway.

I’m not a fan, nor a hater of Kyle Dubas. I think he’s done a decent job so far, and his draft record is pretty good.

All that said, this is baffling. This is the single most important season for the franchise in years, and he’s going to gamble it on Matt Murray returning to form from 5 years ago, and whatever backup we can grab from the bargain bin. Whether or not Murray had a great stretch before the concussion, he hasn’t been consistently good in years.

I understand the term is what put us off Soup, but really, I trust him more, with the issues he has, than I do Murray to find his old form and make it his norm again.
