Seems like a pretty steep price, I guess if there are multiple bidders the price for Chiarot might get that high. I think either drop the 3rd or change the 1st into a 2nd.

Drop the 3rd and change Dermott to Holl.
According to Pierre Lebrun there is around 8 teams interested in Chiarot so he will surely fetch a 1st +. I'd do the deal but I don't want Dermott, a first and a 3rd is fine.

Chiarot isn't even good. Good god, do people want to repeat the Foligno trade with a defenseman?
Hard, Hard pass from Toronto's perspective.
Imo, Toronto's interest WRT Chiarot should be limited to their 2nd this year plus another non-robertson/niemla/knies prospect.
Maybe 2nd + Dermott if the leafs get mtl's 4th or another team's 3rd.

Way too much going out for Chiarot. I think he would be a great addition, but not at that cost. I'd rather try and make a trade for Lindholm/Chychrun if our 1st is involved.

Whatever Leafs wants Chiarot or not, they have to get a second line DEF or better and it will cost your 1st 2022.
Leafs will have to win against Florida or Tampa in the 1st round and the other in 2nd... They need a Def.

Respectfully disagree. He doesn’t move the needle much at all. Only if Matthews and Marner play at the level they are now, Leafs have a great shot. Chiarot or no Chiarot doesn’t matter.

Chiarot isn't going to help them past those two teams considering the three things he excels the most at are 1) taking penalties, 2) pivoting slowly on opposing rush and 3) chasing opponents to pUnIsH them
That's not what you want against teams that excel on the rush

I think you dont like Chiarot and it ok... but he is a good Def to have. Leafs dont have to trade for him and Habs dont have to trade him to Leafs.. will see if your GM thinks like you
