LeBrun just said that Tampa has an incredible advantage that plays into ALL negotiations and McLennan was right there.

Soooooo now what?

You keep trying to prove this doesn’t exist.

You went from

there is no tax advantage to “its complicated”.

You just said 2 NHL players said “don’t give
Me the tax advantages” when they NEVER did.

What else do you want to make up?

I’m curious

So McLennon agreed that the tax advantage argument was nonsense. And then said nothing when someone said it was real. Seems complicated.

O'neill (former player) says the tax argument is a nonsense argument. He's said it numerous times.

Seems complicated. I thought the players 100% agreed to this?

Say, isn't that MY argument? That it's complicated? That you've over simplified it?

The problem for you right now is that you've taken a hard-line stance on something that is VERY debatable. My argument is that a debatable topic is in fact debatable.

You can't win this argument. Instead, you should re-evaluate your position.

Huh? You just make up what you want to see.
Brian Hayes. With no NHL career. No nhl contacts said it doesn’t exist.

Pierre Lebrun. Noted insider said it does exist and it’s an “incredible” advantage that they used in the kucherov. Point. Hedman. Stamkos contracts.

Mclennan doesn’t contradict either.

O Neil doesn’t say anything.

This is almost as bad as when you said you couldn’t read an article. Asked me to read it and then disagreed with the article you never read.

O Neil. Has NEVER played in a tax free city. He also to my knowedge has NEVER said tax advantages don’t exist.

Marc methot had the same 4.9 million contract and went from Ontario to Texas and said he claimed he saved 700k per year.

No one buys your ridiculousness

And there are many ways to get arrested for tax evasion.

Come on. You can’t be an adult and think like this.

People who work in the CRA don’t know who Mitch marner is?

If it’s legal paper work and a legal business it’s not tax evasion. Investing to avoid taxes is completely legal, being sub contracted by a third party is also legal.

Tax experts with 20 NHL clients disagrees. But sure

See... this is why so many people think you're just a propagandist. You're not really searching for truth. Just pushing an agenda.

When Hayes says the tax argument is "garbage", O'neill laughs and nodds. Do you disagree? McLennan says "right, right", then adds to the argument. Do you disagree?

Actual nhl players O'Neill and McLennon disagree with your tax argument. Two more people that you "know better than"?

Except that’s not what happened? You are saying they disagree based on your interpretation

Marc methot came out and said how much he saved on the same contract.

Brian Hayes Said “don’t give me that”. He actually never said they don’t exist. He never brought tax experts into the show. He brought up a larger point and they made their own points.

Find me a quote from McLennan that says. I played in Florida. There is no advantage.

Find me a quote from O’Neil saying it’s not. I have NEVER heard it.

Let’s see it. Should be easy right? If he has disagreed with it multiple times. Should be a quote.

LeBrun said it’s an “incredible advantage”. McLennan didn’t disagree there.

But nope you will just make it up. Kinda like the Tampa fans who went on for days.

Then when I said. Email cap friendly they admitted the pros
Were right

Tax experts agree there is no way to shelter or protect yourself from paying full 53 % taxes? Hmm I doubt that.

Actually the quote was something like. “For a Canadian who wants to retire in Canada
Here. There is NO way for a Canadian team like montreal to compete from a financial perspective with tax free states”.

Jason Chevrier in the athletic. Feel
Free to look it up

I have proof. A person said the tax argument was "garbage". O'Neill laughed and nodded. McLennan said "right, right", then added to the argument.

The end.

You're wrong.

Again, YOU put yourself in a horrible position by claiming that all players are unanimous about this. I mean, it really wouldn't be hard for rational hockey fans to find former nhl players that countered that argument.

The proof is in the pudding. You lose.

Except. Again. The only person who says anything is Hayes? And he was disputed by Lebrun. An actual insider.

You said O’Neil has been quoted many times. But now you can’t find one
Sureeeeeeeeee

You said that. O’Neill SAID. It was a nonsense argument and he has SAID it many times.

Let’s see?

Orrrrr you are making stuff up. Again

Like I said email cap friendly get them to change the calculator.

So the country with more social programs and a higher tax rate costs more to retire in?
Lol noooo

Jeff O'neill "I don't care about Florida state taxes or whatever... I'm done with that crap."

He also laughed and nodded when Hayes said the tax argument was garbage and was never plausible.

Proof in the pudding.

He thinks the tax argument is nonsense.

He IS a former player.

You lose.

Embarrassing...

So the country with more social programs and a higher tax rate costs more to retire in?
Lol noooo

That’s what you think that means?

A country with more social programs and a higher tax rate is just going to let a multi millionaire who is on TV in CANADA half the year is just going to let them avoid taxes?

Sure

He said he doesn’t care.. he didn’t say they dont exist?

Are you serious? That’s what you think?

Oh good lord. Just embarrassing

He called the tax argument "crap".

He smiled and laughed when someone called the tax argument "garbage". It's pretty clear where he stands.

McLennon said "right, right" when someone called the tax argument garbage, and then added to the conversation.

Would you, at this point, still say that it's "unanimous" about what nhl players (past and present) think about the tax situation? Is it unanimous? lol

The link you provided doesn't work, btw.

He says go be Mitch marner in Carolina or Winnipeg. See how you like it.

He says don’t let the dad push them around.
He says they are insane to push that money away

He says they are being unreasonable.

All of that is true. I listened and I agreed with every thing he said.

He never says that tax advantages don’t exist. He never said take home for Toronto is the same as Tampa.

You are just seeing what you want to see to fill an agenda.

There is NO player who has come out and said that they played In both and take home was the same.

There have been multiple players who have commented on just how much money they saved.

This isn’t working.

Also. As an aside. What’s with the change? Did you get infractions or something. There are no !!!!! S everywhere

You said all players are "unanimous" about the tax advantage.

O'neill called it "crap" and nodded and laughed when it was called "garbage".

So you are wrong.

The end.

We have tax experts claiming there is no tax advantage. We have players calling it "crap".

Jeez... sure sounds more complicated than what you make it out to be.

Even when you straw man it is wrong. It’s just insane. I said that there are no players who have came out and said that there is no difference in take home pay. When they have played in both.

Players. Agents GMs. Insiders and tax experts agree that there is a massive advantage.
LeBrun calls it “incredible.”

O Neil yelling about how marner is greedy and Hayes saying it doesn’t exist is not at all what you aren’t saying

And again. Your original argument was that there was NO advantage. You were proven wrong. Now it’s “complicated”

It’s easier to just let it go.

Tax advantages exist. There are calculators and experts.

Players with first hand experience have actually given figures.

But sure. Brian Hayes is proof.

Have fun

It's an unfair advantage that Canadian teams get to pay their players in USD. Marner essentially gets $14.5m per and Leafs dont even have to count the additional $3.5M toward their cap.

Hope the league does something to level the playing field.

Multiply the cap by the exchange rate and you'll see the math workout..
