Someone here hit the nail on the head. I was asked to say nothing on the subject. Yes, Fred, could be done, till the playoffs. Dubas takes criticism around here, and I have never spoken to the guy.
But Shanny is not dumb at all, he is sticking with this young man.
I think he is pretty brilliant.
I am still pinching myself when I see Campbell, Muzzin, Brodie and Muzzin playing for us.
What did we give up? I don't want to insult the talent and assets going the other way.
This young man, probably thinks this job 20 hours a day.
Its showing. Jason Spezza? U think he likes Keefe and Dubas. He is playing like a 3.5 million dollar player.
Spezza and Muzzin love the city, the crest, their teammates. But both these guys are irreplaceable type guys.
Spezza has the best slap shot in a Leaf uniform since Rick Vaive, and commands the dot.
Hyman, is the best I have ever seen at what he does, its like he has almost invented a myriad of talents.
Bob Gainey was called the best hockey player, in the world, by Anatoli Tarasov, the architect of Soviet hockey.
Hyman, has gone past Gainey.
I posit, that Hyman is twice the hockey player, in terms of NHL effectiveness than Nylander, and I appreciate William's zone exits and zone entries.
Nice problem to have, but what does this guy sign for? Hyman?
He does something that teammates just love.
He goes into the offensive zone and by all means, and by all costs, he doesn't let the opposition, bring it out.
I almost feel sorry for our opponents, when Zach is out there. No arrogance, total humility, but he just breaks the back of opponents. Its clinical what he does.
I keep expecting opponents to figure out a way to defend, his defence. But like myself, I don't think they have ever seen anything like this guy.
A great goalie and a great forward who lets everyone rest and not have to chase the breakouts?
Those two guys are worth their weight in bitcoins.
We have two right now.
Campbell and Hyman.
Life gives some interesting parallels. Look at the 1967, Leaf Cup team. Look at this team.
Notice any patterns? I think Dubas has.
Thornton, Spezza, Simmonds? Supposedly, past it? Keefe and Dubas, have these guys thinking age is just a number.
