And two 2nd's
exactly, people are crying too much. I was surprised we only gave up a first. I though for sure we'd have to move a prospect.
And two 2nd's
I wish he'd be icing on the cake
We dont need his offence. We need his defensive play. Playoffs are another thing as we know. Our PP will eventually pick up. But u cant get
Too many defensive forwards. Him and Nash will help. Just wasnt sure on the price. If leafs get to final 4 its worth it
Who is overpaid?Just wanna say..... see dubas this is what happens when you f***ing overpay on the contracts and not enough cap left; when you ask others to retain salary the price of the trade just goes up
Solid player most likely don’t know a hell of a lot about. Shutdown and tough if he needs to be. Clean but has a dirty streak too. Main thing is plays a simple defensive game.I wish he'd be icing on the cake
That is what I figured, definitely will help the team but the Hyman comparisons seem strange. Especially as Hyman isn't a dirty player or really a pest while Foligno is
How is he at being in charge of the music?
I'm commenting on the overexaggerating reaction some sections of this fanbase can have on a trade. It's almost always "over paid" to them regardless of the return. And look maybe it is, but being a late round pick, in a questionable (to say the least) draft year , where this player likely wont be in the NHL for roughly a handful of years, is not something to worry about when you're team is contending for a Stanley Cup right now. I get it, we all want to keep our draft picks and or maximize its value but its okay, its really not the end of the world. We can't undervalue the amount of money being retained for Foligno(1.7m cap hit vs 5m for Palmieri and Zajac) or the fact that he was a captain on a perennial playoff team.

For all the cry babies.
1. We don't know the outcome of the trade until end of year
2. Our first is going to be late pick
3. Scouting is lacking this year; so it's a crap shoot.
4. We kept all our top A prospects
5. We are only paying 25% of his salary
6. Would you rather play with Foligno on your team or against him? please think!
Stop shittting on Dubas. This is the same guy that has built this team that is in 1st place.
Bunch of cry babies who I expect to apologize to Dubas at year's end.

Players weren’t even scouted this year and the first round might have a big pile of missesPeople would be upset no matter what.
I’m usually against trading 1st round picks but not this year. With the pandemic making the draft an true dart at the board who really cares.
I’d much rather have him then have him go to the habs
I have no problem with going "all in" to win a Cup. My argument continues to be that there were available players that would have come for the same place, cheaper, that are better than Foligno. He doesn't move the needle for me, at all.
Probably already been posted but this is awesome.
Ya that is probably fair just don't get the comparison too much.We could use a bit of a dirty player to be honest.
Alex Iafallo, playing alongside Tavares (he plays beside a very similar player in Kopitar now) would have been a great upgrade, enabling Hyman to move to the bottom 6 and terrorize other teams as arguably the best bottom 6 guy in the NHL.
Iafallo is a much superior offensive player, who doubles as a good forchecker and is an ideal skater, in his prime at 27 years old.
