Sounds good. The alternative was Simon Benoit. So the bar is low.I was comparing the game costing giveaways and horrendous defensive coverage. You'll see.

There's probably 50+ posts in this thread showing "Rielly - Carlo" as the new top pairing.Source for the ‘stud top pairing d man’? Are most not saying he’s a middle pairing guy?
Because he’s slotted with a top pairing guy (when he’s on, Rielly is a #2 IMO) doesn’t mean he’s a #1 d man. Literally no one called him a stud either. He’s a 3 or 4. Which is what everyone has said. There's probably 50+ posts in this thread showing "Rielly - Carlo" as the new top pairing.
He's an offensive blackhole, and hence I would hope they don't play him on the first pairing. You could play him as a 3rd pairing defenseman, but if you're doing so, why are you giving up a first? No way man. I have been confidently assured by Leafs fans that they've just acquired a stud top-pairing shut down dman, you're just hating!
That would be the second pairing. McCabe and Tanev have been the top pairing for the last 30 games. There's probably 50+ posts in this thread showing "Rielly - Carlo" as the new top pairing.
I bet the Laughton thread is much of the same. Wonder what the common denominator is between the 2…Watching the bickering in this thread — which is impressive — I feel for Carlo. One or two mistakes and he’ll be red meat for the mob.
Look at threads of virtually any other TDL move - the big ones - and nothing like the gnashing and growling going on in here.
Brandon Carlo just is not very good at all, and a first for him? One of the worst trades here, in my eyes.

I said "one of the worst trades."You must have missed the Tampa/Kraken deal

I mean, it's hard also not to see that Leafs fans on here say s*** that draws the attention from non-Leafs fans..Watching the bickering in this thread — which is impressive — I feel for Carlo. One or two mistakes and he’ll be red meat for the mob.

At his current level and with his contract, I think that Carlo actually has some net negative value, so to give up a first for him, yeah.
Have you seen what Treliving has done to the teams he's managed? I don't believe that he knows what he's doing at all actually.I don't know how good Carlo is or will be, or not.
But what I do know is that Treliving and his team know a hell of a lot more about him than any of us do, especially two random posters CJ'ing on a hockey forum.

The best thing the Leafs can hope for is to win their division. Let Tampa Bay & Florida kill each other in the 1st round.Carlo will be a terrific fit in Toronto.
They got 2 great pieces in him and Laughton.
I don't see it enough to beat Florida who got Marchand and Jones, both better players on a team that was already better than Toronto.

I'd go out on a limb and suggest that any team which manages to beat Florida is not going to lose the following round simply because of what Florida does to them along the way, and I do believe Tampa has the depth to be able to knock off the Panthers.
Good thing the Leafs loaded up to beat Florida in the playoffs, by acquiring a dman who has been obliterated by Florida in the playoffs for the last 2 years. The best thing the Leafs can hope for is to win their division. Let Tampa Bay & Florida kill each other in the 1st round.

I assume you mean, any team that beats FLA will lose the next round. If FLA loses they will take you down with them one way or another. Every one of these three teams is eyeing that #1 seed for sure. The best thing the Leafs can hope for is to win their division. Let Tampa Bay & Florida kill each other in the 1st round.

The Carlo concerns are concussions and liability handling the puck. His biggest strength isn’t his strength it’s his long reach and covering angles. He might be the best in the league at that.No question when a team even if your rival is offering your 2nd best prospect and 1st overall pick for a Brandon carlo sell. Don sweeney should get props to making this deal.
