People are actually mad it might be Hutch going? This guy has been given all the opportunities in the world to make the rotation and he couldn't. A spot was basically his to lose and he lost it. Time to give up on him IMO.

This year? He wasn't given a spot to lose. Dickey, Stro, Happ, and Estrada were guaranteed spots. He could have won one from Sanchez but Aaron was and has been really crazy good.

Hutch has been really solid down in AAA this year.

He was bad last year, so 1 time he failed to keep his spot.

I'm hoping we don't give up a big time prospect, because the idea of this trade is really solid. Pitchers have down years, but their resumes tell the true tale, especially with Martin back there.

So... did we deal Hutchinson for Liriano, and get Ramirez and another prospect for doing that swap?

That would be good.

Drew Hutchison is only piece #BlueJays sending to #Pirates. Mike Bolsinger becomes the triple-A depth Hutchison provided

Holy ****! That's a hell of a deal

Gave up Hutch who is cheap but took on Liriano who I think could turn it around (maybe even as a reliever) and likely took on his salary to get another good prospect.

Hockey style cap dump. I'm ok with it. But I hope people don't expect Liriano to come close to filling the whole left by arguable the best pitcher in the AL.

Any guesses what Hutch gets in arbitration next season?

Lirano has lost the strike zone a bit, he has not lost any velocity. Hopefully they can fix him.
