We are hostile because that game was garbage, the players were garbage, and we have one part of the equation that can be easily fixed, but the coach didn't do. In here, we have one person trying to deflect and minimise the impact of coaching and roster decisions in this game. In short, it feels like people are being talked down to. That's what has people upset.

I'm entitled to my opinion without being attacked personally.

People refuse to blame their heros. It's just so easy to blame Hendricks.

He was medically cleared. I don't need to take a look at his medical file to reach a conclusion that he would have been able to play tonight if they actually said he was medically cleared.
I never heard an official report from the team he was medically cleared to play? Can you post a link?

The fourth line had a huge impact on the game.... They only played like 8 minutes and were on the ice for half of the goals scored against. I don't understand people defending the roster decisions tonight. Hendricks should not have played and as much as people try to minimize it he had a major negative impact.

But why play that at home?

Oh right, decided to be a 3 line team.

He wanted Morrissey and Trouba on the ice against the Johansen line. It had nothing to do with three lines.

At home is where you control the matchup.

There has been plenty of blame thrown at the stars. You're blind if you don't see that. We fixate on Matt Hendricks because he is so fundamentally irrelevant to today's NHL game, and serves no purpose other than being a glorified warm body. The Jets have Marko Dano and Jack Roslovic - 2 players who are objectively better than Matt Hendricks - just chilling in the Press Box, just so Maurice can play him for six and a half minutes.

So what I'm reading here is that if Hendricks wasn't playing, the Jets would've won. Also that players having trouble adjusting to the opponent tightening up on them are really just rebelling against the game plan in Game 4 of a Stanley Cup playoff game.

Had nothing to do with the lazy puck watching, losing constant 50/50 battles, decent goaltending from Rinne, and general disinterest from the majority of the team. Only Hendricks and Maurice's use of the 4th line.

That, coupled with Frenchie himself saying he was good to go, and Paul Maurice saying everyone not in a yellow Jersey was an option tonight, leads one to believe that he'd been medically cleared. That's why I'm pissed about it.

I'd like to see some minor changes - firstly play Perrault-- take out Hendricks, we need all the fast scorers on the ice we can get. Other option was to take out Hendricks, and put Roslovic in the lineup. Roslovic "should have been in tonight"-- what is the advantage in playing Hendricks against one of the "fastest" teams in the league ??? Roslovic is a young fast skater, and good playmaker.

We're also really going to have to get the young guys scoring--like Connor and Ehlers, and also Bryan Little. We need scoring from everywhere--1st 2nd and 3rd lines. These are small subtle changes, but these little things are "big things" and can mean the difference of winning and losing.

We have got to win the next game in Nashville--this series will go 7 games-- nobody should take these Predators lightly. This series will be won by "who wants it more." I'd say this is a 50-50 series now.

We will now see what kind of character and intestinal fortitude this team has !!! -are they champions- we will see ??

The Preds were better in this game. They gutted it out. Laviolette put a new system in place that seemed to confuse the Jets breakout big time. Laviolette must figure that the Preds have no hope going toe to toe with the Jets offense. They are going to try to take all the life out of the game. You need a bit of luck to win like that, such as the knob of a stick STOPPING the forward momentum of a puck. But you can definitely try. Interesting to see how the Jets adjust.

Even worse the fourth line allowed the only 5v5 goal against. I don't understand why aren't we allowed to be upset at Hendricks playing????

Literally nobody said anything remotely close to this.

No. He was medically cleared to play. He was an option tonight. Paul deliberately iced an inferior product. I have every right to be pissed off about that.

Kinda agree, but when we remember Maurice comments when Laine was out, he also listed conditioning being required before a player can be inserted in the lineup. Perreault hasn’t played for a while and Jets didn’t get a good practise in with him out of non-contact.

Armia hasn't played since he was injured in game 5 last series. He was thrust into the lineup tonight.

Laine wasn't bad the whole game. He's probably the slowest player in the top 6 and still was the most effective on the breakout.

Enstrom I thought was the worst player today, hands down.

He bailed out Buff big time at least twice.

I mean there's no requirement for fans to remain even-keeled right. Everyone watches sports differently. I don't even think the Jets played especially bad, the Preds just played by far their best game of the series. Best of 3 now between # 1 and #2. Gonna be fun.

So Wiebe made the official announcement for the Jets?
