Two changes have to be made for Saturday. Enstrom out and replaced with Morrow. Parreault in, Gramps out.
Yes, these changes are exactly needed. Also I didn’t like Armia at all tonight. I would definitely like to see rather Roslovic instead of Armia.

No. He was medically cleared to play. He was an option tonight. Paul deliberately iced an inferior product. I have every right to be pissed off about that.
I kinda think Perreault saying that he was ready to go was a bit of gamesmanship. We honestly have no idea how healthy Perreault is. I don't believe Perreault would be kept out of the lineup if he was truly ready to play.

Having said that, I think any other option the Jets have to play someone other than Hendricks should be taken.

Something is just off. Maybe it’s the inexperience. Not sure, but they get their asses kicked every first period. That doesn’t bode well. How much can you reasonably play from behind? Too many missed opportunities. Feel it could bite us.

Absolutely they are capable of taking the series but they sure are letting the Predators stick around.
They just came off one of the best comebacks in years. It was an off game, the team is not off. We have also played more games from ahead than behind. I swear this place has become the most dower, least happy place these playoffs. It is in such contrast to what is happening everywhere else in the city.

That call against Buff was f***ing weak sauce too. Happens 1200 times per game. Far more egregious slashes and hooks went uncalled against the Preds, particularly on Laine's last rush with 30 seconds left.

Josi's dive to draw the penalty on Laine was embarrassing for an NHL captain. If Karma is real, we win these next 2 in blowouts.

He was medically cleared. I don't need to take a look at his medical file to reach a conclusion that he would have been able to play tonight if they actually said he was medically cleared.

How do you know this exactly? Maurice never confirmed it.

I was at the game, feel the disappointment but it is our turn for a momentum swing. I love the playoffs and I love being in them. Not sure why people want to ruin this for themselves.
Disappointment is alright. No team is going to win a cup winning series 4-0/4-1. Every team chokes and has this type of games. What's important is how you bounce back. I say it is valuable experience for our young core. Leaders will step in and we will play a better game on Saturday :thumbu:

4th line with Hendricks has had very low ice-time for the last 3 games. That affects the whole line-up. It's not just about their performance and how much they cost the team directly. Jets have turned a 4 line team into largely a 3 line team. I'm concerned it's not going to be enough vs. the Preds. I thought Scheifele, Wheeler, Laine, Connor and Ehlers looked tired by mid-game. They are being run too hard, in my opinion.
Great post. Top Guys will run tired.

Back from the game. I don't think we where as bad as some are making it out to be. I thought we where very good through the first 25 minutes and generated a number of chances that we just couldn't capitalize on. Nashville imo was fairly mediocre through the first half and generated very little, but they cashed one on of their few chances in the first.

In the third our ability to handle the puck went into the toilet and the Preds put on a NZ clinic.

Some players had awful games, Connor, the bottom pairing and 4th line.

Buff, Wheeler, Chef, PS and Ehleres had so so nights.

I will echo the thoughts on Maurice and his staff. They seemed to be asleep at the wheel most of the night, how does JoMo and Trouba play so little when they where the two best dmen on the ice by a country mile. Its also not as if Moe was good at hard matching them either as there where numerous times the Preds top line snuck onto the ice against our fourth line and bottom pairing and Moe just let them continue their shifts. There was one time in the first where Johansen is on the ice for 10 seconds and then Hendricks jumps over the boards to go against them. Another instance late in the game where the Johansen line is lined up for a faceoff and we leave the bottom pairing out there and nobody realizes until 10 seconds into the shift where they scramble a change to get JoMo out. Whoever was running the bench was not paying any attention or their head was somewhere else. Just straight up poor bench management by Moe today.

For the good:

Morrissey and Trouba where tremendous again
Little had a very strong night
Laine got a bazillion chances and finally got one, hoepfully he goes on a tare now

Chalk this one up to another important playoff lesson for a young team.

Also Maurice needs to get Hendricks out of the line up. This running a 4th line that can't be counted on to play more than 5 minutes a night can't happen anymore, the team is looking tired near the end of games.

I remember many posters on this forum over the years saying the Jets will never be able to make the playoffs if they play just 3 lines all season because our players will be burnt out. This season we played 4 lines and got in the playoffs, but now that we are deep in the 2nd round of the playoffs, we revert back to playing 3 lines.

You will never win the Cup playing 3 lines against teams that can effectively play 4 lines.

Please Understand
What are you trying to do with this post. Why do people get hostile in here. WTF is up with that?

We are hostile because that game was garbage, the players were garbage, and we have one part of the equation that can be easily fixed, but the coach didn't do. In here, we have one person trying to deflect and minimise the impact of coaching and roster decisions in this game. In short, it feels like people are being talked down to. That's what has people upset.

We couldn't score.......that is not Hendricks Job. Like I said all day we will win and lose based on how the drivers of this team played. They didn't make enough plays.

Hendricks was irrelevant

Disagree, had you played Roslo you have a forward with scoring potential vs. No scoring potential. MO f’ed up again, more on coaching than anything g else!

To think MP is still not injured is ridiculous. Even if Mo felt he absolutely needed Hendricks in the lineup, there are several other players that MP would play above and he would have been inserted into the lineup ahead of them.

If you think the players didn't like the game plan either your right. When you see guys trying to do it by themselves like stick handle past 4 guys they know the game plan sucks and trying to do it themselves.

I've done it, I've seen tones of other players so it. You do it because you know the system in place won't work.

That's scary as hell.
