I don't, Myers had a rough game to. Someone needs to remind him he's not Bobby Orr. Holds onto the puck to long and more often than not turns it over and or makes a late pass killing the break out.

When Maurice mentioned too many passes in the skates in the neutral zone all I could picture was Myers.

We were a terrible passing team today actually. Pretty much everyone was having a tough time. We look like a team that is in need of a skills practice.

If you can't find a way to get 20 minutes for your top pair, you have no business running an NHL bench. I don't know if this is Huddy or Maurice, but if you aren't playing your best D enough, you aren't giving your team the best chance to win.
Other teams have no problem giving drew or suter etc 28 mins. It's not hard to play your top pairing especially at home lol. That tells you Pomo somehow lost the matchup game at home.

Preds didn't over play their first line and Pomo under played our top d pairing. It's ok to have them on against the second line too Pomo.

Please Understand
We couldn't score.......that is not Hendricks Job. Like I said all day we will win and lose based on how the drivers of this team played. They didn't make enough plays.

Hendricks was irrelevant

If he's so f***ing irrelevant, put Frenchie or Roslovic in his place. Put somebody more relevant in his place. If your fourth-line player is irrelevant, replace him with a relevant player. There are three of them hanging around upstairs, but aren't playing because Maurice decided he wanted to play his tired ass instead.

Preds figured out a way to shut us down once they had the lead. We had a few bad breaks and missed chances early, and that was the difference.

Next game is next game - I don't see why the Jets can't steal the next one on the road and finish it off at home.

Frenchie is coming back. He obviously wasn't quite healthy enough to play. Give it a rest

It bites you if you're incompetent. Playing your best dmen the least because you are line matching? The result speaks for the brilliance of that decision. Do you think PoMo knew we won the previous game?

They were damn effective against the Johansen line. The strategy actually worked.

Can't really understate how exhausting it must be when your top guys who're expected to be scoring are constantly doing the hard defensive matchups, especially when you're at home. The fourth line has to be able to come out at least neutral no matter the matchup. Hendricks - Copp - Tanev were dominated in their limited, sheltered time.

Ok let me explain this to everyone why that 6:42 is so important.

Your playing every second day pretty much. The tax paid on the body is enormous just in a normal game let alone a series. You NEED that time to be up above 10 mins.

That's 1, two is if your down or the game goes into overtime or double overtime you want to have a top 9 that can still play. We can't have that if we have shief playing 25 mins a game.

3 this is a war of attrition. It's the Stanley cup playoffs. It's called the hardest trophy to win for a reason. In today's NHL the last 10 years to win the cup combine high end skill with a 4th line that can score and play considerable mins.

The answer isn't giving Laine or wheeler MORE ice time the answer is giving them less.
Bang on.

Jets have had to run their top 2 lines too hard, largely because they can't trust their 4th line. If Perreault was actually healthy (I really doubt it), then I think it was a huge blunder. Regardless, Dano or Roslovic would have been much better choices.

Maurice doesn't need to make any decisions about the top 9 of his line-up, so he's responsible for decisions about his bottom 3. He's messing that up.

So much negativity. The sun will shine tomorrow people. It is a 7 game series and there are ups and downs. Series are at 2-2 all we need is to win 2 games out of three. The whole team looked bad (besides few players) shit happens, forget this game and go play our game on Saturday

Agree with guys who think Lowry Copp and Tanev need to be reformed, they all feed off each other, we need to roll four lines, Laviolette still playing his 5-6 d less than 10 minutes Jets need to punish the top 4 d constantly way to easy for them tonight no forecheck from the Jets

People want to be recognized as the first people to have given up hope. I have no idea why else one would possibly make such pessimistic claims that they truly deep inside know are an exaggeration. Whatevs. Chances still quite real.
I just don't get it either. It is like some people have never watched the NHL playoffs before. Every year the eventual winner has great games, a few games where they hung on by the skin of their teeth and games the just plain got out played. No one wins 16 straight. No one wins without fighting through a ton of adversity. Going into the playoffs I knew we would bounce from posters claiming we were the greatest team on the face of the earth fallowed by games where we are proclaimed to be a pile of s*** and we have no chance. I just keep trusting the Jets are far more resilient than some of their fans.

Hendricks was irrelevant - that's the ****ing problem. He had no positive difference in the outcome of the game, but made the bottom end of the Jets drag with his presence. His line was on the ice for the first goal against. Fourth line, third pair, defensive zone faceoff. Goal.
6 minutes 42 seconds in a playoff game. That's how much he played.

No. You don't get to hand wave away the criticisms people have about tonight's game because "we are just venting". You don't get to do that. Hendricks had the least effect on tonight's game, but he had a negative effect on tonight's game. You ice the best team you can possibly have. Maurice didn't do that. That's indefensible.

Wrong we lost because the players athat are paid to be difference makers weren't good enough.

This is the preseason argument all over again. Our best players weren't good enough. Roslovic would not have changed that in any way.

I am not a Hendricks fan in any way. But it is wrong to blame this loss on him. It is untrue. The loss is because our stars were not stars tonight

Jets were behind by 2-0 for much of the game. Shutting down the opponents' top line has to be balanced with needed to move the puck and generate some offense to get back into the game.

The desire to not go down 3-1 in the series was greater than the desire to go up 3-1 in the series.

There will be a game #6... that's all I know.

Question... did you think the Jets' best players looked energetic in the third? If not, do you think that overplaying them might have a role in that? Fresh legs are really important for the Jets to play their game. You can't have fresh legs in the playoffs if you are basically down to a 3 line team.

Best on best

I take this group.

Just change the pk a bit.
Dead in the water style.
Sòoooooo passive

I hope Perrault was really not ready to go.
If not that is a huge mistake by the coach.

As he was looking a game ahead instead of putting the best lineup on ice in game 4.

I was at the game, feel the disappointment but it is our turn for a momentum swing. I love the playoffs and I love being in them. Not sure why people want to ruin this for themselves.

Yeah, felt like unforced errors really hurt the Jets tonight. They also caught some bad bounces. And Buff's penalty seemed like pretty ticky-tack bullshit for a tight playoff game. I was wondering where Morrissey was in the 3rd - thought he was injured. Felt like they were trying to protect a 2 goal deficit from mid-2nd period on. f***.

No. He was medically cleared to play. He was an option tonight. Paul deliberately iced an inferior product. I have every right to be pissed off about that.

Have you seen his medical file? I suggest you are not qualified to make the determination that you claim.
