Lol.

Still finding ways to blame Hendricks and therefore PoMo. I don't even want Hendricks in the lineup but some of the takes are really showing a lack of understanding in how hockey games are won.

Myers/Chariot on the other hand are terrifying most of the time.

No bounces tonight. We should get em next game.
Preds are rolling 4 lines, and the Jets are playing 3 because their 4th line is ground to a halt by Hendricks. That's going to be a problem as the series goes on. It's entirely preventable.

Truly, that game was won off of a broken play, some one-sided officiating, and Rinne rolling a natural 20 on throwing his stick during a net front **** show.

Drastic overeaction in here.
Seriously the first penalty on Laine was BS and he calls a cheap penalty slash on Buff. The puck bounced for the Preds tonight ... the first goal when off 2 Jets and just sat there. The Preds played the trap showing they can't beat the Jets unless they get lucky. Saying all that ... I agree the Jets were not skating and time to put Connor back on the #1 line. Ehlers did not do anything to improve the #1 line ... did they have any scoring chance?

It's funny how this game works. Hendricks takes a penalty that doesn't lead to a goal but we go on to eventually loose the game so Hendricks is useless.

Roslovic, although a better player than Hendricks has done squat generally and took a penalty that led to a tie game but we went on to win.

But of course Hendricks being in instead of Roslo is somehow just too much for some to handle.

8 minute a night players (which is what both of them are at this point) shouldn't be the difference between winning or loosing

Hockey is played for 60 minutes not 52 minutes. The reason having Hendricks in in the playoffs is so bad is that there is so little upside to that decision. Even the Oilers didn't play him in the playoffs. It doesn't have to be Roslovic, I'd take Dano or even Matthias back in the lineup. This is nothing against Hendricks, if you asked him in private I bet even he would not have a problem with that.

Crap night, stupid US hotel doesn’t have NBC sports!

Finally find a sports bar with NBC sports!

Jets with no grade scoring chances!

Dumb Mo keeps Gramps in over Roslo!

Morrissey gives up on a play with a feeble backhand,

Clueless Chariot clears a puck in the slot into the slot! F me!

This o e is goi g 6!

Maurice was out coached at the start of the lineup card. Brilliant move by the Preds coach. Sticking in Hartnell guaranteed Maurice would dress Hendricks. Preds get the goal on the 4th line, a PP goal and shut things down. Good coaching on the road .

TLC line and a line of Little, Armia and anyone but #15 could have been a slightly better lineup. Perrault? Matthias? Dano? Cilantro?
The reason Hendricks played wasn't because of hartnell but because of roslovic.

Well Laine got the taste in his mouth, and should be hungry for more now. Expecting him to step 'er up on Saturday.

Exactly right Slayer. He was pissed about the icing call at the end, and because of that his speed went 200%. The dilithium crystals in Laine can take it, he just needs to be awoken/pissed off. Frustration hurts his game, but anger works magic if he's not loose (eg, he looked like he was gripping the stick too tightly).

4th line Jesus rising on Saturday?

I await this, we need both him and Rosie to run a full on attack.

One last point: Jets looked tentative in the neutral, too much thinking, not enough 'eff-this-and-give-'er. Theres way too much talent here for pontification and planning- thinking about it. They play best with the pedal down. Nothwithstanding the very effective trapping by Nashville, gotta hand it to them -> the Preds played a solid shut down game.

One very last point: I like ESL... those guys were generating stuff.

I honestly would not be mad if Maurice had iced an optimum lineup even if we lost this series but now I have such a sour taste in mouth when his lineup decisions played a decent role in both the games that went against us.

That PK that had been bleeding shots all season is being completely exposed in the playoffs. Just no adjustments have been made to it even after the results were bad for alteast the last 2 months of the regular season.

The only positive I saw tonight was that Little looked good.
I agree. I remember hearing Maurice say in an interview how he trusted veteran players to let him know when they are ready to return. Perrault was clear he was 100% and Maurice went against what his veteran felt and against the team medical staff who approved him to play.
Just feel that was a huge mistake one that i don't know if we can recover from. Losing home ice is huge.

Another positive note, when the Jets lead a series 3-1, my anxiety from Jets 1.0 ptsd is unbearable.

When the Jets were up 3-1 against the Wild, i was a mess leading up to game 5.

At some point Preds outshot us 17-2 after they got that 2-0 lead. Nothing to do with bounces (other that their 1st goal was quite lucky).

Yup. I noticed the shots were 21-10 for the Jets when the Preds scored on the PP. Later I noticed the shots were 27-23 Preds. Just ridiculous.

Preds were winning and playing the trap ... that's why they were rolling with 4 lines.

His line was the one that was out there for the first goal against, and he plays so few minutes relative to everyone else. He drags the fourth line to such an abysmal number, and makes matchups that much easier for Nashville. Edmonton, for all their faults and flaws, saw the sense in not playing Matt Hendricks in the playoffs last season. **** you, Paul Maurice.

We couldn't score.......that is not Hendricks Job. Like I said all day we will win and lose based on how the drivers of this team played. They didn't make enough plays.

Hendricks was irrelevant

The reason Hendricks played wasn't because of hartnell but because of roslovic.

And that decision, my dear, was a bad one. Roslovic is so much better than Hendricks.

Roslovic makes the team just much better compared to Hendricks and even compared to Matthias or Dano.

Roslovic plays pretty good D and he is so fast he can help in the offensive side of the game as well.

I like Hendricks a lot, but seriously you need to be able to play any of your lines 10+ minutes per game. Otherwise your top lines will be just gassed.

Hendricks was not the reason this team lost tonight. People are just venting
When none of your stars are getting it done, there is only so much a fourth liner can do.

It's just easier to blame one replaceable guy, I guess.

Here's what I think (as he cries out into the wilderness):

Jets play generally play well with lots of pressure.

They will definitely win the next one. Yeah, yeah you think I'm hopelessly optimistic, but a knotted series somehow feels right on this team.

Lets go JETS
