That's the biggest reason why I'm upset about it. Fine - Frenchie declares himself medically able, even though he's not fully fit yet. A local scribe says he's been medically cleared, despite the club not making any announcements whatsoever. Paul Maurice said anyone not in a yellow jersey was an option tonight. Well, look at that - Frenchie's in the regular Jets jersey. All of this tells me that he is good to go, and should have played tonight.

Maybe we'll grow and mature along with Paul Maurice. He has as much experience in the playoffs as we do.
I don't ever remember the Jets getting to the Stanley Cup finals.

True, but I do think the point still stands that Maurice doesn't have a lot of playoff coaching experience. I think he has done well for the most part but I expect like the team he will learn from his mistakes. I thought him and the coaching staff had their worst performance tonight but I expect to see them iron out their usage issues and adapt an effective game plan for Saturday.

We're talking about fans of the team. That's who you're kvetching about because we're reacting so harshly to the rigours of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, like nobody else here has ever had a fandom other than the Jets.

I'd really like to see the Jet's replace Enstrom with Joe Morrow. Morrow is a lot bigger and stronger, and has a way better point shot, and can score. I don't see the advantage in playing Toby over Morrow. Look how good the Jets did when Enstrom was out for a long time--"we did great and won most of our games"

I'm not saying Toby is a bad D-man--it's just that in a physical series like this, and goals that are hard to come by--Morrow would give us an advantage over Toby.

Roslo might not have been the difference but he was a lot more likely to be than 15.

The Preds are susceptible to speed and we essentially kept our slowest player in the lineup at the expense of one of our quicker ones. I like Armia but he isn't exactly a speed demon either. Our 4th line couldn't do anything on the ice and a large reason for that was that it was too slow.

Also every series is 2-2 other than the Boston one, there are a lot of really good teams left and all of the remaining series look to be a war.

Had a good first period but came away from it down 1, Nashville choked the life out of it from there but I was disappointed the Jets couldn't seem to adjust. The Preds did a very good job funneling the Jets, maintaining their gaps, supporting the puck and had great back pressure. Jets simply didn't respond.

Simply amazed how much of 57-7 I saw through 2, they were a **** show, no sugar coating it, it's a problem.

If the Jets sell out for the Mark Stuart special at the blueline, like they did in the first tonight, in Nashville, they are in for a world of hurt. They got caught hunting for hits tonight and were lucky not to be torched.

Puck support was very poor tonight, they missed timed countless pinches and seemed hesitant. Too many easy zone clears for the Preds. Connor, Ehlers, Laine all very weak along the wall, losing too many pucks. Connor was particularly bad. Stastny fought the puck uncharacteristically tonight. Other than the Lowry line, their close support was non existent after the 1st, their spacing was terrible and they couldn't hold pucks in when they needed to.

Nobody really asserted themselves this game, it was disappointing. They didn't play that poorly, they just lacked execution, were too passive against the way Nashville was playing and got zero bounces along the way.

They can win one on the road. Sure hope Perreault is back. Copp and Armia are just wasted with Hendricks. They really need Perreault's tenacity and playmaking ability. Nashville did nothing that overly concerns me, they weren't overly threatening.

The penalty kill was simply awful again amd the PP has all but vanished. This series could easily be decided by special teams and so far that is favouring Nashville.

Good stuff. Its been interesting watching our series compared to the others. Jets-Preds really separate themselves from competition in the sense that there is no free ice out there on either side whereas Pens-Caps and Sharks-Knights look like they are playing 3 on 3 overtime.

Neither team has been able to impose their will on the other in the series, aside from a few stretches of 5 minutes here and there. We have made bank all year by getting pucks deep and establishing a forecheck but Rinne is excellent at retrievals and when he can't, one of their top 4 D put a quick stop to any sustained pressure.

We are going to need some better tactics to gain their zone with either better dump ins/flips or quick plays at the line. I still like our chances. Our forwards are much better overall and Buff/Trouba/Morrissey have been better than all of the Preds D this series. We need to adopt Lavy's usage of our D and play Myers/Chiarot very sparingly.

Need a better effort and better tactics next game.

I'm more inclined to replace Chiarot with Morrow. Thought Ben really struggled tonight with a lot of panic swipes at the puck that lead to us being kept deep a lot.

Agreed would have preferred Rosie in the lineup.

I like ChiaPet more than Morrow, but anyway you slice it, that bottom pairing is ghastly. There's simply no room to shelter them like you can in the regular season.

Yes. As much as my consternation tonight has been about Matt Hendricks over Mathieu Perreault, the crux of it was always Matt Hendricks being in the lineup over two objectively better players, who are most certainly not injured.

Frenchie is coming back. He obviously wasn't quite healthy enough to play. Give it a rest
Do you have anything to prove he wasn't healthy. I've seen numerous things saying he was healthy but nothing to back up he isn't healthy enough to play.

I'd like to see Morrow, but replacing Chiarot, not Enstrom. The Jets struggled to move the puck efficiently.

Roslovic should have definitely been in the lineup over Hendricks. There's just no comparison --he's way faster, a better playmaker and can score. Sometimes I just wonder how Maurice thinks --"makes no sense" :dunno:

And my main point is that if MP was actually healthy he would be in over a number of other players, including Armia who actually came in even though there was no proclamation from him he was medically cleared.

Not sure how to work this into the PGT (would work better when the Jets win in 7) but this is a Nicolas Cage theme so I need to act. So I will be the optimist and preemptively assert that this will be our response to Nashville when we get the better of them and they say they tried our best.

Why we lost this game ? - we lost this game from great coaching from Nashville's Laviolette. I give the guy credit--he's a smart, crafty coach. He decided the run and gun game was not going to work against the fast Jets team--so he changed strategy for this game.

What changes did they make ??--well, 1) they dumped the puck out of their own end instead of trying to skate it out-- big difference.

2)- Most importantly--they really clogged up the neutral zone and Blueline, and the Jet's tried to skate the puck in but were always intercepted --"this won't work." It did before when the Preds were playing their run and gun--but things have now changed.

What the Jet's need to do -- is dump the puck in and hustle hard and fast to get possession, and it's a 50-50 chance they will . There is no use having guys like Laine, Scheif, or Ehlers trying to break thru the Preds defense when all their guys are standing on the blue line waiting for them. They will lose 95 % of the time playing this game.

Solution is obvious-- shoot the puck in and skate hard to get possession !!-only way.

If Hendricks plays again in these playoffs without us being decimated by injuries we deserve to lose......
We said this after the 2nd game which is why so many people are pissed at the coaches decision to dress gramps. This isn't the first time we have seen this. The top 3 lines are getting tired. Even if we get through Nashville not great if the top players are fried out with another 2 rounds to go.

So the secret is out on how to beat the Jets ... complain about the refs ... guaranteed win the next game. I'm sorry but the 2 penalties they Jets got were complete BS.
