The lament of this era.
We gotta stop viewing this ---- as so black and white.
If its about playing for the future why are Staal and smith playing? Why is Mcleod here? Why aren't guys like LA and Lindgren seeing more action?I just don't get why people keep confusing "icing a better team now/winning" with "what's best for the player/culture".
Quinn said it for ****'s sake!!!
Putting ADA in means having a better chance at winning. That is not the point however. Doing what's best for him as a player and this team in the future is.
Once people stop *****ing about why their player isn't in when his corgis are better than everyone else's and start realizing that this staff is all about the future then we won't have 700 posts about ADA/Buch playing time.
Staal is the Alternate C, and is the defacto leader here (Hank aside), Smith has been benched plenty, McLeod? I dunno... who cares? If its about playing for the future why are Staal and smith playing? Why is Mcleod here? Why aren't guys like LA and Lindgren seeing more action?
so just was talking to gianone on twitter. the maturity issues seem to stem from him chirping players and officials. ignoring warnings and a times going over the line.
the kid plays with a temper for sure and he needs to learn to contain it but man have we not had the most vanilla team ever here for years. we could use some bad guys. I honestly feel that way.

I haven't seen him get a misconduct so I think its ridiculous. the kid plays with a temper for sure and he needs to learn to contain it but man have we not had the most vanilla team ever here for years. we could use some bad guys. I always thought he had an Avery characteristic to him but the problem lies with the Coaching staff telling him to reign it in. Once that point is reached, he needs to be held accountableso just was talking to gianone on twitter. the maturity issues seem to stem from him chirping players and officials. ignoring warnings and a times going over the line. Isn't this basically one of the many obvious scenarios that's been thrown around here for weeks now only to he pppffffftd at by you?well the thing is whether we agree with it or not. if he's screaming at a ref and ruff tells him to cut it out because he thinks hes getting close to the line where it could cost us penalties and he juts keeps doing it, it becomes insubordination. then I can't blame Quinn. he's got to run his ship

Good point but theres a difference between official/coaches telling him to stop and actually being penalized... I think we should flirt with that line a bit more.. We were incredibly soft and bland under AVIf that's the reason he was benched for a few games, then that's fine. Chirping officials/opponents is fine, but there is a line that can be crossed, and it has it's time and place.
If the refs/coaching staff is having to repeatedly tell him to cut it out/reign it in a bit, and he doesn't, then more power to them for sitting him down and setting him straight.
Good on Quinn/coaching staff

No, it is about how you perform on and off the iceBecause accountability should be about how you perform on the ice
Since Quinn chooses not to make this public, I suggest you petition him for the answer. In turn, I promise to contribute the answer just as soon as Quinn confides in me.But what is the maturity issue? What did he do exactly? I’m not denying there is a maturity problem, but I want to know.
You mean by accident? Clearly you have to, because if that was on purpose, he would be banned from the league. But let's not allow facts to get in the way of a good story. He ****ing punched a referee for starters.
I don't care if it was on purpose. You mean by accident? Clearly you have to, because if that was on purpose, he would be banned from the league. But let's not allow facts to get in the way of a good story.
Love it. The oversimplified justification. Quinn laid out the rules. DeAngelo choose to ignore them. He is a MORON who is in the process of playing himself out of the league. No? If the Rangers do not bring him back, he will be on his 4th NHL team before the ripe old age of 24. Is everyone a cretin besides you? Think of that. This hockey god will be on 4th NHL team before he is 24. How many other prodigies get to claim that fact. Is everyone an idiot besides you when it comes to ADA?whatever ADA did, it didn't matter. quinn had to get his boytoy 44 back in action with 18 so they could get back to driving the tank off the cliff.
Dude, I respect you. But you have just lowered yourself to the level of debate with a 15 year old. This is assine.I don't care if it was on purpose.
It happened because his soft, cotton ass was hiding from Matt Martin.
Cody McLeod is a soft hockey player. That's the truth.Dude, I respect you. But you have just lowered yourself to the level of debate with a 15 year old. This is assine.
That has as much validity as believing that DeAngelo is the second comingCody McLeod is a soft hockey player. That's the truth.
Correct. Performance doesn't excuse all.No, it is about how you perform on and off the ice
Including Quinn and Gorton I would ventureLost somewhere in much of this baffling debate is that I think everyone wants ADA to succeed.
There's different philosophies and opinions on the best approach, but everyone actually wants the same thing.
