To what examples can you point? Aside from you not liking him?McLeod's immaturity is constantly recurring.

Quinn seems pretty adamant that he thinks ada is one of our better defenseman...and that he'd rather lose the battle to win the war.ADA has a $ 400,000.00 incentive clause in his contract according to his cap chart . Would that be based on games played ? Whatever the reason for sitting him....it certainly does help with the tank . I think we would have beat TB last night or at least got a point with ADA in the lineup . I like the kid...I really hope they can get past this .
Is the implication here that there is a possibility of a plan to sit this guy so the Rangers don't pay a $400k bonus? I don't know if you guys listened to the radio feed yesterday but ADA was mentioned prominently in the pregame. It's just like some of the level headed people here were saying.
Quinn benched him for whatever he did but they have had numerous conversations since. ADA is fully aware of how and why he was scratched and has spoken to Quinn at length about it. It wasn't a willy nilly thing. Quinn is aware the team is better with ADA in the lineup versus not, he said as much. Also said that ADA is in the best place mentally he's been in awhile, whatever that means. 2 other things from the interview, this was done with the long term in mind and he will be in the lineup sooner rather than later.
Again, I don't know if Quinn is going to be a good or bad coach it's way too early to tell, he seems to be a good communicator.
I don't think ADA has to change who he is. So right there, I think that's part of the core misunderstanding/disagreement/whatever we want to call it.
I think the people who don't like ADA sitting view it as something more than what it is. And the pushback is consistently that it's not that deep, or that complicated.
ADA will always be who is he. It's a matter of channeling that in positive directions.
So channeling, not changing.
As for the realities of this team building concept. Not a new concept. I don't really know what else there is to say about it.
Especially in a year in which he as to build the team and the team's culture. And what he instills in the rookies now, will be what they in turn instill in the rookies who are coming in next year and the year after that.Quinn seems pretty adamant that he thinks ada is one of our better defenseman...and that he'd rather lose the battle to win the war.
But after all the “culture” and “leadership” talk is over we will have to win games... you do that by playing your best players... A team of Jimmy Veseys are great for culture but horrible for winning.Especially in a year in which he as to build the team and the team's culture. These two things are not mutually exclusive. But after all the “culture” and “leadership” talk is over we will have to win games... you do that by playing your best players... A team of Jimmy Veseys are great for culture but horrible for winning.
Gotta be honest, and I don't know if I am speaking for others or just myself, but I'm actually more confused than anything else with the responses of a handful of people.
Like I am legitimately struggling to see what is so confusing or concerning or unheard of or not clear about any of this.
I don't think there's so much a passion against their argument, so much as there is a decent level of bewilderment.
I don't fully understand WHY we disagree, if that makes any sense.
First of all, I honestly do not think that winning is his top priority this year. It is establishing the culture and building a foundation. But after all the “culture” and “leadership” talk is over we will have to win games... you do that by playing your best players... A team of Jimmy Veseys are great for culture but horrible for winning.
What I do not get is the crying for player accountability under AV, and now they get it and no one wants it. That and the overly simplistic comments of Quinn does not like skilled players or has an agenda against DeAngelo.I'm not really sure why we tend to view things as either/or.
Culture and leadership does not exclude talented players.
Skill and toughness are not inherently opposite concepts.
Accountability is not the enemy of progress.
We gotta stop viewing this ---- as so black and white.
Ada is good enugh when he's on that what he said was not crazy at all. This was not an example of going to the edge at all with ADA. God knows I've argued against a lot of people who have divebombed off the ADA bandwagon. Is the implication here that there is a possibility of a plan to sit this guy so the Rangers don't pay a $400k bonus? Seriously?
And ADA is the difference between a 3-2 loss against the best team in the league, and getting a point against them? "I think we would have beat TB or at least got a point with ADA in the lineup"....
Some have gone to the edge on this guy, and some have divebombed over it....congrats...hope you hit the target.
Because the call for player accountability is code for "be our mouth piece and slam the whoever board's whipping boy at the time."What I do not get is the crying for player accountability under AV, and now they get it and no one wants it. But what is the maturity issue? What did he do exactly? I’m not denying there is a maturity problem, but I want to know.
Because accountability should be about how you perform on the iceWhat I do not get is the crying for player accountability under AV, and now they get it and no one wants it. That and the overly simplistic comments of Quinn does not like skilled players or has an agenda against DeAngelo.
