What housekeeping? Make sure any rainbow jerseys or caps are removed from the gift shop?

I assume he’s saying they have other potential moves in the works that take priority over DeAngelo.

It’s hilarious though, another situation where the team is held over the barrel by another team because the head coach put them in a situation where there was no point of return.

That's interesting but four years is a long time to retain on Karlsson.

Carolina gets Karlsson at $6,440,000 for four years

Flyers get Rizzo, 2024 2nd (PHI) & 2025 3rd from Carolina, and retain 30% on Karlsson

SJ get DeAngelo, 2024 1st & 2024 2nd from Carolina, and retain 20% on Karlsson

To get under the cap, Carolina will need to also trade Skej or Pesce for picks.
Yeah, I would need a significant asset(s) to take on Karlsson’s cap hit for 4 years. Briere set something of a standard by getting a 2nd and a prospect who was drafted in the 2nd round.

I would love to get Pesce but it won’t happen unfortunately

A Canes fan said Rizzo is at their development camp right now, and had to pay his own way there.

Massimo Rizzo Center (46) Drafted by CAR in the fifth round, 147th overall, of the 2021 NHL Draft Rizzo registered 46 points (17g, 29a) in 38 collegiate games during his sophomore season at Denver in 2022-23. He was named First-Team All-NCHC and Second-Team All-American, and he was selected as a finalist for NCHC Forward of the Year. Rizzo won the NCHC’s scoring title, pacing all skaters with 20 assists and 31 points in 24 conference games, and he was twice named the NCHC Forward of the Week (1/9, 2/13). He posted a season-long, 11-game point streak from 11/26-1/14 (6g, 8a), with three of his 12 multi-point outings coming over that span.

Question: If the Flyers can't find a trading partner for TDA, could they loan him out to clean in Europe to get him away from the team? Of course the Flyers would pay his salary and be on the hook for him cap wise. It's not in the organization's best interest to have TDA having blow outs with Tortorella and the coaching staff.

I suspect that if they can't find a partner he'll be sent to the AHL or the pressbox indefinitely.

Nothing personal against you - but maybe the coach needs to learn how to work with a player he doesn’t like instead of throwing a tantrum, and wanting them out at any cost.

If tough love is the only way this guy knows how to work his team it’s incredibly limiting to the org that needs to harvest as much talent out of its players as possible.
