That's the neat thing about it, it didn't really matter if you were on the ground or not because when you short your jabs, nobody's head is bouncing off of anything. It's more like the worst flicking you've ever had than a real punch to the face, and it's not going to drive your head or neck anywhere of note.

I agree, punching a guy on the ground isn't my favorite look. You can also still do that and still be a shithead without intent to injure. Not hurt, but injure, as in significant lasting damage. I don't see anything from that punch or its follow through to indicate that Wilson was even putting half his effort into it, and if you're going to deliberately try to injure someone wouldn't you, like... try?

If you played hockey you know when a player is falling on your stick with their head and neck region and you let go of one end of the stick. Instead of doing this Wilson flexes his elbows up effectively choking his opponent with his stick. He then falls on his opponents upper body choking him more. His opponent goes limp he bunches that opponent while his face first on the ice that is 100% intent to injure. Without taking in to context the second situation where he threw someone to the ground by their hair. Should be suspended for a long long time.

I actually find it sad that people such as yourself can take bias to the point of delusion. He’s just a hockey player who happens to play for your favorite team. It’s okay. It’s just as factual that he’s an asshole on the ice and has severely injured numerous players with zero indication of remorse.

Just this year, the hit on Carlo and these incidents tonight are so cut and dry. They show zero respect for other players. Every guy on the ice on any given night can start throwing cheap shots, but somehow it’s always Wilson popping into the frame. And not that it was dirty, but flexing in the box is the cherry on top of his own self assurance of idiocy.
