Yeah that one’s worthy of a sit-down with the league office. Lighthearted trolling is one thing, celebrating a head-slam on an opposing superstar is something different. This goes beyond just being embarrassing and gets into “stuff that your lawyers wish you wouldn’t have done” territory.
Wow

One of the most incredible posts I have ever read on this website

Have you hit them in the face while they were facing the ground. Because if you are doing that please stop you can seriously hurt them. If not it is completely different. And if he hit a player standing up no one would be complaining. Doing anyone on the ground is unacceptable.
...I did say some variation of "f***ing around in high school", didn't I?

That's the neat thing about it, it didn't really matter if you were on the ground or not because when you short your jabs, nobody's head is bouncing off of anything. It's more like the worst flicking you've ever had than a real punch to the face, and it's not going to drive your head or neck anywhere of note.

I agree, punching a guy on the ground isn't my favorite look. You can also still do that and still be a shithead without intent to injure. Not hurt, but injure, as in significant lasting damage. I don't see anything from that punch or its follow through to indicate that Wilson was even putting half his effort into it, and if you're going to deliberately try to injure someone wouldn't you, like... try?

Yeah, theres been this narrative from Caps apologists for years that it's simply "Big guys hitting little guys" . That isn't the case. Wilson is the dirtiest player in the game and has been for years now.

Why does he just laugh it off? George Parros is going to call him tomorrow and ask for his autograph.

Pathetic.

But I was told that Tom Wilson was an innocent little angel when discussing his dirty hit on Visnovsky a few years back.

Shocking to hear that he'd do something like this.

(snort) I saw the thread when it was about 4 pages, thought it was an older one bumped up for some reason, went & made dinner, came back & it's now at 33 pages... oh ... wonder what the dumbass did 'this' time... JFC, suspend him for the rest of the season & the playoffs. Not only does the cretin not learn, but he brags about it in the penalty box.

Well stop pitch forking and trying to kick the goalie. It’s pretty simple.
haha you're kidding right? You call that kicking the goalie? What happens almost every game when there are people fighting for the puck in the crease. and yet deserves someone being choked on the ice face down and punched in back of the head.

What he did to Buchnevich was assault, that goes beyond hockey. If the NHL had any balls, they'd suspend him for the rest of the season and playoffs at minimum.

I'm all for heavy, hard hitting hockey but that's garbage.
Hahahahaha. I'm not even defending Wilson's punch, even though it most certainly was not to the back of the head, but the hyperbole in this thread is insane.

My stance, to clarify.

Punch bad.
Slam bad.
Monkey dance dumb.
Twitter mocking cringe worthy.

I still think Panarin needs to gtfo after getting Wilson to disengage, though. Especially given what he means to his team. Good on him for showing heart, I guess?

Lol "get strong". Enjoying it for what it is for one thing, being embarassing and defending it and calling people p***yes is just straight up embarasing. Grow up.
I watch like 10 games a year because I don’t dwell on the every breath of professional athletes. Mainly because I am living a grown up life. Maybe you should stop paying so much attention. It clearly gets you emotionally wound up. Probably not good for the loved ones around you.
