That’s bc caps depth players been healthy. When ovechkin, Kuznetsov, Oshie, and Carlson are the guys getting hurt or being out - yes - it’s a little different than Garnet Hathaway being hurt.

Caps also have a new coach with shortest training camp in past 25 years - and in a whole mew system they’re still learning are still in first place.

Umm. Last two years pens are 1-7 in playoffs including losing to habs - a 12 seed - which is worst loss to any team in a nhl playoffs in history. They literally lost to a bottom 8 team in the playoffs.

pens have won 1 of their last 10 playoff games. Malkin and Crosby 4 total points each of them last two playoffs in 8 games.

they had a great run.... but that team is done. They’re not a playoff threat at this point.

I don’t give a shit if they went 0-100 in their last two playoff series. Only one team wins the Stanley Cup. And last I checked the Capitals didn’t win either.
