I love how three of the four occasions are against Colorado :biglaugh:

Hasbro, you're my favorite poster.
His thesis is not very well formed...

Just kidding, Hasbro. I love you like I loved RIAL.

He took CuJo ahead of Roy. It was an open secret that he was going to start him on the team ahead of him and Brodeur, that had alot to do with Roy not going.

Roy not going was all about Roy and his massive inflated ego. Nothing more nothing less.

Paddy was upset he wasn't named the starter. Its alway all about Roy with Roy
:dunno:

Hm, ok, let me throw in here I'm glad that Bertuzzi is in because it means that we have someone else representing Sudbury at the Olympics. (The other is afigure skater, I think its Buttle or something)

MacInnis and Pronger were not 100 per cent, I'll admit it. But Jackman was the only defenceman on that St. Louis team that was not intimidated by the end of that series. Watch how they handled the puck every time Linden and Bertuzzi were on the ice. They looked like Bambi in a truck's headlights, because they knew they were going to get hit.

If Canada gets that Bertuzzi, the one who physically dominated St. Louis in that series, then I don't care what he produces. He'll be a very valuable addition.

Enlighten me as to all of the times Bertuzzi has proven to be dangerous.

i was thinking of the time he was suspended for kicking a guy in the head in junior hockey.

plus the incidents hasbro mentioned.

that enlightening enough for you?

he's on at least his 4th or 5th chance. he's a goon who cannot control himself, and if he wasn't a great hockey player, he'd be gone from the game for the things he's done.

If it were Brodeur slated as the starter then I would find it objectionable, but he's got a right to CuJo getting the nod ahead of him.

Similar to Bob Clarke?

I find it hilarious that Flames fans think cheering for a guy convicted of assault (Bertuzzi) is horrible, but cheering for a convicted rapist is A-OK! (Huselius)

hey, dont let facts ruin your argument.

Huselius was not convicted, but merely accused. Any one can accuse anyone of any crime, it doesnt mean they did it.

No charges were laid, so why shouldnt he get the benefit of the doubt? If she accused you of ****, would that make you a rapist?

Happened to Jovo.

Sorry. Thought he was convicted. My bad. I thought Sweden would have to have some basis for banning him from their team... I was wrong.

He was actually with teammates at a bar or something and his teammates were charged with sexual assault. I read about it at some time.

So then tell me this: Did Sean Avery make a racial slur at Georges Laracques?

:D

He was charged
Consider the tactics used to defend current Team Canada defenceman Ed Jovanovski. He was charged with sexual assault back in 1995. Jovanovski's lawyer told reporters of a variety of alleged instances of misconduct by the woman, including one that she had charged and then withdrawn her charges against a teacher. For good measure, Jovanovski's defence team announced it was suing the woman for damages.

The charge against Jovanovski was withdrawn before the trial.

Or that famous Habs player...you know...the one who smacked an official upside the head with a stick...just give it time, they'll be here to explain his case for everyone :D .

Hasbro said:
I'm confused though. Wasn't Huselius and them charged and withdrawn too? It was Jovo and 2 other players in the case, and I believe it was his teammates at fault for touching a woman inappropriately. I don't know for sure... doing it from memory.

Bertuzzi on team Canada is a disgrace and an embarrassment to the team.

It is in the tradition of boooby clarke breaking Kharmalov's ankle and would stain any medal we win.

I can only hope that when the pick is reviewed tomorrow that wiser and more mature heads will prevail and he will receive the boot he so richly merits.

And I can once again root for my Canadian team without any reservations.

I won't engage in any discussion of whether or not his play deserves to be on the team. He is a capable and talented power forward.

It is his character and prior behaviour that are at issue and he is to character as Wade Belak is to skill and grace.

In this vein, it makes it difficult for me to rejoice in any success that will reflect upon felon Bertuzzi.

oh dont be so dramatic. heatley is a convicted killer if you want to go there, are you going to have issues rejoicing in success with him on the team?

if so, be a leader and start a thread about it.

Bertuzzi has been suspended at every level

Bertuzzi is a one dimensional player - who makes terrible hockey decisions and floats between the opposition blue line and the red line looking for a pass.

What team do you like? I'm trying to figure this out, but is every single one of your posts something negative towards the Canucks?

I won't comment on whether he should morally be allowed to play - but I can say that from the 4 games against the Oilers - he has to be one of the best forwards in the league. I know he started slowly - but he's damn near unstoppable when he's on his game.
