I'm still fuming about this. I've had enough of this team not pushing back on incidents like this. Jesus, how many examples do there need to be before changes are made? This goes back a long way now. My friend called me just now and said people are calling into FAN590 and 1050Team or whatever it's called and they're all feeling the same way so for once I may not be wrong. FFS.

I wanted Tulsky but McPhee would have been a huge upgrade on who we ended up with.
It’s odd how little of the blame Shanny has taken for the mess this team has been. He is starting to get a bit now but he influenced much of the roster construction and hired all the GMs that built it.

Treliving problem told shanny what needed to happen to build a winner .
Shanny said nope we are sticking with the core.
You can't keep bringing in new players every that aren't in system it take to long to gel.

At lest next year we should have Cowen Minten then Grebyonkin along with Knies on ELC contract so that should put an end of constant turnover.

Anyone listen to kyper and Bourne regarding the leafs not standing up for Liljegren? He was upset that no one on the team showed any emotion. Used Tampa as an example of when Burtozzo hit Vasilesky last year and the whole Tampa team jumped all over him right away.

Mentioned how players change when they come here. Treliving was suppose to change that and early on it hasn’t happened.

What does Treliving know about building a winner?
It’s not like he has some long history of success before he came here.

It’s more likely he came in and told Shanny exactly what he wanted to hear and that’s what got him the job.

The media plays a huge part in this type of stuff. Players wont care or hear fan outrage. The media bringing it up changes things. Players tend to play different afterwards

that's really over the top response. He literally starts by saying it didn't look bad at first and then the next thing he's losing his mind about it. It was an innocent looking play

Is there anyone that thinks we don’t this year? We had to Houdini Murray to Robidas Island to barely ice 21, I’m not sure I’ve really seen a claim otherwise. Should be ok going forward next year though.

I said that you can't do either one simultaneously. This is probably why Liljegren is in this predicament.
Do you remember in your playing days skating into the corner with a forward breathing down your neck? Did you play the puck only, or did you brace yourself for the impact?

I remember not being able to play the puck or brace myself when somebody is using their stick to lift my skate in the air and throw me off balance as I'm approaching the boards. It makes both options impossible. Liljegren is in this predicament because Marchand is a dirty rat that tried to injure him, not because of anything he did.

Our coach hasn’t enough skill as a coach to put someone out there to take care of the leafs being roughed up so the tough guys we picked up this summer was just a waste of cap
