I don't think Boston left out one of their best players daring the Leafs to jump him, no.
I think that most people AT THE TIME thought it was a puck battle and not much else, an accidental trip. I think in hindsight, that is not the case, but at the time I am assuming most players thought that.
I also don't think Perry deserved a beating for accidentally injuring Tavares.
After clean open ice hits what does every team but Toronto do? Even if at the time you think that was a clean hit. 1) It's Marchand he has not laid a clean hit in 30 years 2) Our guy was clearly concussed, the guy couldn't stand up without falling over, that does not raise the eyebrows a little? 3) Marchand
