I agree as of this moment Lil is their no.6.
I think my Brooks comment was taken the wrong way. All I meant was that Liljegrens development is in "priority" mode. So to send him down and deal with this maneuvering, the waiver claim needs to hit a certain threshold to make him say "okay fineeeeeee, where do I sign". Brooks meeting that threshold was unexpected. But glad to see him get another shot and wishing him the best.
I don't buy it has anything to do with Dermott. They'd give this game to Lil to get him ready for the playoffs if Brooks was never put on waivers for us to claim.

I agree with that, I think I did misunderstand what you were trying to say in the original post. His development should be and hopefully is in priority. If he can develop into a top 4 d, that only helps the club moving forward and would save us cap dollars in the next few years.
