The negativity around Liljegren right now is actually very simple to explain. It’s the same people who have continuously talked crap about him since he’s been drafted that are doing it now. It’s not about having valid opinions for these people, it’s about saving face at this point for all the utter bullshit they’ve spewed about this kid, and the only way they see that working for them is to continue and hopefully the negative sentiment continues. Liljegren's best game in the NHL tonight. If he can keep it simple like this, let Sandin move the puck, protect danger at all times etc...he surprised me tonight with how he was reading things. I isolated on him when he was out there to watch his reads, how he protected danger, his decisions overall, his positioning, he did very well.

Another really good game by Liljegren. Definitely deserves to stay in the lineup.

That off-the-boards drop pass to Marner to break into the zone right before Mitch scored showed great awareness, creativity, and confidence. Love this kid.
His little things aswell their was a play he made where he used his skate to pass to the center and it was a easy breakout for an odd man rush.
