I feel bad that he's part of this tire fire of a team. I wish we had a Larkin and Bertuzzi to play with him.

How about you give him more than one game.

Certainly. I would hope for more than 0 SOG and -2 next time though. This sort of experimentation ruins a player's development. If they wanted him at C they should have brought him in as such.

Stutzle has been given so much more opportunity than his peers. Unfortunately this hasn't translated into anything..

I thought he looked great, had the puck more, made more plays and they got out of their zone better.
It seemed natural to him IMO.

He had a couple scoring chances that were either blocked, or went wide, and his -2 was the result of 2 empty net goals he had nothing to do with, one where Chabot turned it over in our end trying to do too much on his own exiting the zone, and the other while covering for Chabot on the point while Chabot went deep, turning it over to Middleton who too the shot from the DZ faceoff circle to score. Meanwhile, Stutzle led the sens in on ice xGF%, SCF%, and HDCF% at 5v5. He also picked up 3 hits a takeaway and an assist.

I'm not sure how anyone could think that game would ruin his development.

It reminds me of Galchenyuk's botched development in many ways. However if he does excel at C for the rest of the year then it would have worked out great and he should reman a C indefinitely. What I don't want to see is the return of Colin White, Pinto, maybe a trade acquisition for a C, etc. forcing Stutzle to move back to the wing.

That sort of experimenting can ruin a young player.

You know, I'm not a big believer in Jimmy, I don't see superstar potential. But bro, you're overdoing it, every post of yours mentions Galchenyuk. Give it a rest, your point was made several times already.

You really don't know what you're talking about. He is 19 years old, clearly you're unfamiliar with player development.

He looked quite good. Trying to ding him for +/- is just cherry-picking to make him look worse than he was. He showed more effort and awareness in his own end last night than Galchenyuk ever did.

We don’t have a center as good as Larkin
Not really an issue if we play Stu as a center though...

I'd love to see Stutzle with Tkachuk and Batherson, but it kind of leaves Norris on an island, even once everyone is healthy.

Tkachuk-Stu-Batherson
???-Norris-???
Paul-Pinto-Brown
Formenton-Tierney-Watson

Sanford and Ennis don't really get it done... White might work as a 3rd line RW, and push Brown up a line but that still leaves Norris with no skilled winger.

For now, I might try something like this:

Formenton-Stu-Bath
Tkachuk-Norris-Sanford
Paul-Tierney-Brown
Kelly-Gambrell-Watson/Ennis

I am just surprised that no one else is seeing it... still hope that it doesn't happen.

What does that tell you.

Tim showed , from Gam e 1 this year, a high attention to detail playing a 200ft game. Night and day transformation. He was looking like a center since the drop of the puck this season, and not surprised at all how well he did last night. He was in the right spots and for you to pin 2 empty net goals on him is just a reflection to what you want to percieve , rather than reality
