He’s had a ton of the very same chance he buried last night.

The only difference is that it was on and off his stick immediately.

usually he corals those passes and tries to pick a corner, giving the goalie a chance to recover.

Last night shot it right away and the goalie had little chance.

Love seeing it finally. He could have 5 of those already this season pretty easily.

Honestly I rather have the Stutzle we have seen all season long even with shit numbers from bad luck, than see Stutzle putting up numbers but they just lucky bounces while he is playing like shit.

Oh sure, my point is simply that if he shoots those looks right away, he’d have more than one goal. He gets that exact same look almost every game, but he takes too long with the puck.

The best goal scorers have then puck on and off the stick in a flash, that’s what he needs to do.

Happy he has the monkey off his back. Now for a couple of hatties and score your way into a fat contract!

Flames were all over him whenever he had the puck. Other teams know he's a danger and don't want to risk him having possession

I don't see the advantage of playing U20 hockey at his current stage. He needs to play here. I would think he has a good chance of playing on the German team in the Olympics as well.
I miss read that. WJC no. Olympics yes. Why wouldn't Germany want him on the team?

I like Him very much but let’s be honest here, No 18 is not burning the big league.

i would not mind to see him burning the the WJC. However, if he doesn’t want to go, so be it.

Is Stutzle eligible to play at the 2022WJC ?
If yes, should he go to play with his peers?

Challenging question. :)

I think it could be good for him to lead his team at the WJC. Its only a few weeks off from the Senators tire fire, so not much to be lost from doing it.

I agree he’s close and has the skills so hopefully it works out. People should stop blaming his line mates for everything. His slow motion backhand passes are also too easy for the goalie to track and follow but everyone blames the shooter for not scoring. It’s tough to score like that unless your Mathews or one of those guys

No point in Stützle playing in the WJC. He’s an NHLer. Sending him to that tournament would be embarrassing. He’s starting to get more and more chances every shift. He creates something every game. How are people not seeing this?

If he can play for Germany in the Olympics, I think we’ll see something special.

I love timmy but felt he made the team too quick, would have loved for him to excel at the AHL level.

He is going to need to stay in NA and work hard next year in the off-season

He has all the tools just needs to figure out how to use them best.

One of his biggest issues is his shooting. He does not get his shot off fast enough and allows for goaltenders and defense to reset or get set. If you watch him shoot his windup almost pauses before he lets it off.

Another thing is he over skates too much , will almost do a lap or two before.he goes to the net and allows players get in position to defend.

He has zig zag and crazy passing but sometimes just needs to selfish and keep it simple and get the puck on the net. If would shoot Everytime he has the puck their would be a lot more goals.

His shooting and taking more shots are biggest things he needs to work on IMO.

Lmfao I did not realize that he was still WJC eligible this year. Should really put some of the criticism about him in here into perspective. He is literally still a boy lol.

His game needs work and he needs to get stronger. And he needs far better and more talented line mates to play and work at his game with him. Pretty simple.

But nothing changes the fact that hes a huge star in the making. Dont count out how driven this kid is either - hes going to figure out what he needs to do to be successful if we give him the time and proper coaching.

And also - Tim Stutzle might be the single biggest reason why we need to acquire someone like Giroux. Staple him to his line, and mentor him on how to become a proper star player. Giroux would forcefully drill a shooters mentality into his head - and feed him the proper chances to become one.

His team would be a bigger tire fire at the WJC I don't see the point.

Yes he should go to the wjc get some confidence. We arent going to be worse without him and maybe he gets some extra confidence. I would have liked him to finish the year in Germany last season.

I think he'd benefit playing in the AHL tbh.

There's no reason to send Stützle to the WJC.

He's struggling a bit, no doubt, but he needs to adapt his game to the NHL. Make faster decisions, get rid of the puck quicker, play more north-south, etc.

He'd be asked to do the complete opposite playing for Germany. He'd once again have to try and be a one-man show rushing end-to-end every shift. That's not what he needs.

It's no difference and he might get some momentum. Plus it's a great place for him to dominate.

His skill and speed is high-end, but his hockey IQ is not and I've said that since before the draft.

He'll figure it out and be a top liner, but maybe not the superstar people were hyping him up to be.
