That could work. For a bit but he turns 35. Bit of a risk there.
Shown no signs of slowing down, was amazing in the playoffs. I dont think he signs with Ottawa for anything less than 3 years. There is some risk but I think he is the most underrated UFA out there.

I'd like to see Batherson play left wing (shoots right) with Tim.
If you look at the video of all Bath goals for the season you'll see he's deadly from that side.
He also did a great Ovi impression on the left wing with Barzal feeding him at the WCs.

Jimmy is left handed - it’s hard for him to distribute a pass to a right handed left winger off the rush.

Not sure where you get this idea.

Consider:
Nicklas Backstrom
Center -- shoots L

Also check out Tim's highlights above and Bath's highlights.

I was commenting about distributing a puck off the rush. It’s a hard, lower percentile, pass to make.

Tim will finish next season with 85 points. Bank it!
He can hit 90-100 next year if his line is Keller/Dubois/Debrincat-Stutzle-Joseph. I don't like Debrincat but still, a bonafide 1st liner on his LW will be nice.

You watch him all year and you don't forget how great he is but maybe you forget how many tools he has. He can beat defenders in every way imaginable. He can manipulate his way through the NZ using his feet or his hands. He can beat you wide on the entry, he can cut across the middle and find a teammate or he can work a give and go on the entry. He can control the puck on the perimeter, circling the zone waiting for a lane to open or cutting back making lanes open. But he can also attack the middle of the ice with a curl and drag getting off a good shot, or make a pass through the triangle on the tape.

I think my favourite play of his is perhaps his goal line shot where he is turning the corner on a defender and that puck is so far in front of him but he is able to fire off a hard and accurate shot over the shoulder like he did to Martin Jones this year and Michael Hutchinson last year. He's had some other close calls with that shot. And as I said he can beat you every way imaginable, he has the vision to make a pass on the tape in that exact scenario if it's there as he did to set up Connor Brown vs Wpg.

His edgework is absolutely elite. It's a skill that separates guys like Crosby, McDavid, Kane, Kaprizov, Barzal etc. We've had plenty of forwards with great straight-line speed (like Formenton) but no one with that kind of skating ability in a generation, aside from Karlsson.

As he adds strength, he's going to be a nightmare to contain. Really excited to see what he can do next season with DeBrincat on his wing.

I think he can hit 100 with a bona-fide star flanking him on one side and at worst Connor Brown on the other.

This whole thing might help Brown in his quest to be super, super rich big time.

You should warn D.J. about this because he seems to be fine with Debrincat (who shoots right) playing on Tim's left wing.

Good idea - but he knows this .. we’ll see how they work together … or if they even play together. I suspect they will 100% get a chance.

Must be quite pleased to add potentially both Debrincat and Giroux to his space. Must be a better headspace for him now with certified nhl talent.
How’s his health? Anyone know if he’s fully back up to speed?
