"Bit of a risk there."That could work. For a bit but he turns 35. Bit of a risk there.
Maybe, but Giroux is a few months older, and everyone seems pretty keen for him.

Shown no signs of slowing down, was amazing in the playoffs. I dont think he signs with Ottawa for anything less than 3 years. There is some risk but I think he is the most underrated UFA out there. That could work. For a bit but he turns 35. Bit of a risk there.
I'd like to see Batherson play left wing (shoots right) with Tim.
If you look at the video of all Bath goals for the season you'll see he's deadly from that side.
He also did a great Ovi impression on the left wing with Barzal feeding him at the WCs.
He’s gonna explode this year with Lucic and Kassian as his wingers
Not sure where you get this idea.Jimmy is left handed - it’s hard for him to distribute a pass to a right handed left winger off the rush.

Consider:
Nicklas Backstrom
Center -- shoots L
Also check out Tim's highlights above and Bath's highlights.
It’s this kind of thinking that got us Brassard for Zibanejad.Jimmy is left handed - it’s hard for him to distribute a pass to a right handed left winger off the rush.
No…. It’s the type of thinking that will keep Batherson on the right side other than the PP.It’s this kind of thinking that got us Brassard for Zibanejad.
Definitely possible if we find him some good offensive wingers wingers to play with.Tim will finish next season with 85 points. Bank it!
He can hit 90-100 next year if his line is Keller/Dubois/Debrincat-Stutzle-Joseph. I don't like Debrincat but still, a bonafide 1st liner on his LW will be nice.Tim will finish next season with 85 points. Bank it!
You watch him all year and you don't forget how great he is but maybe you forget how many tools he has. He can beat defenders in every way imaginable. He can manipulate his way through the NZ using his feet or his hands. He can beat you wide on the entry, he can cut across the middle and find a teammate or he can work a give and go on the entry. He can control the puck on the perimeter, circling the zone waiting for a lane to open or cutting back making lanes open. But he can also attack the middle of the ice with a curl and drag getting off a good shot, or make a pass through the triangle on the tape.
I think my favourite play of his is perhaps his goal line shot where he is turning the corner on a defender and that puck is so far in front of him but he is able to fire off a hard and accurate shot over the shoulder like he did to Martin Jones this year and Michael Hutchinson last year. He's had some other close calls with that shot. And as I said he can beat you every way imaginable, he has the vision to make a pass on the tape in that exact scenario if it's there as he did to set up Connor Brown vs Wpg.
You should warn D.J. about this because he seems to be fine with Debrincat (who shoots right) playing on Tim's left wing.I was commenting about distributing a puck off the rush. It’s a hard, lower percentile, pass to make.
Why dont you like Debrincat?.... He is a way better player than Keller and Dubois. He can hit 90-100 next year if his line is Keller/Dubois/Debrincat-Stutzle-Joseph. I don't like Debrincat but still, a bonafide 1st liner on his LW will be nice.
