If there was a good time to get injured it would be now. Hopefully he can still have a strong offseason somehow.

We really need Stutzle to be a 70-80pt player next year if the sens want to be in a wildcard race.

If he needs ACL surgery there is no way that he gets 70-80 points next year. He'll be lucky to play 50-60 games under that scenario.

Let's HOPE that's not what this is.

No way anyone can tell ... If I had to guess .. I would say banged up his previously injured knee.. there is no real buckling and he got up pretty up pretty quick. Doubt its an ACL tear but ... if it was previously slightly torn .. it could have been hurt or further injured I suppose.

Doesn't look like a full ACL tear to me either and it is nothing like the motion that did my own ACL.

Those hits low and from the side can be rough though. It's like the leg close to the boards acts as a leverage point. I always find them odd because often a pretty bad injury results but the knee doesn't APPEAR to move much.

Hope it's just a minor tweak.

Nothing like when I did mine either. His knee didn't bend in an awkward way really. Hopefully he is ok.

I couldn't put near the weight on mine that he did getting back to the bench

Yikes. I hope it's not serious. Ottawa has had mostly bad luck with injuries this year.

Seriously, if NHL teams want their players to play in the World Championship or the Olympics, they should send the players with extra padding, and maybe a protective bubble with air holes.

I get the benefits of these tournaments for players' development but the injuries are a potentially overlooked risk.

I hope they are not letting Jimmy make the call. He will want to play for his country. I’m not sure why we let him finish out the season in Ottawa, but he wanted to play then as well.

Germans are extremely patriotic and Stützle is no different.

Germany is in a rather weak group and there is good chance they could medal.

Don’t think many realize how big that is for a hockey nation like Germany.

Shut him down. f*** this nonsense tournament.
Timmy has had some bumps and bruises on that leg this year and very lucky nothing serious. 🤞

However, hopefully Dorion, DJ Smith, his Agent and Sens medical staff that are their can convince him to call it a season and heal and train!

Sign him to a 8 year deal to put a smile on his face!
