Dynamic player. If anyone doesn’t see the star potential then they have an agenda. Kid has taken off since moving to centre. Well done by the org letting him get his feet wet on the wing.

Didn't even make Russias Olympic team and you've got him first line. I think everyone needs to take a deep breath about this player.

This might have been his most dominant game of his career tonight. Noticeable every shift. 24 minutes. Play the man DJ. The injuries this year have sucked but the way Stutzle and Formenton have excelled with the extra minutes and responsibilities can't be understated.

That was his 'arrival' game. Best player on the ice from puck drop to finish. He decided when it was over. Almost a gordie howe hatty. He didn't get an assist on the first goal but he was the most important player in it happening.

I like
Giroux as a line mate. A seasoned C who has moved to wing but can take some C assignments if need be

It's literally perfect. Let's hope Giroux thinks the same. I dislike whenever I see Giroux's name now cause I always end up commenting, lol. Getting Giroux, even if he doesn't work out, would undo all those years for me of not getting a top talent in UFA. I know he's old, but the guy's still producing at a top line clip and 34 is nothing; we just need effective play and mentorship for next 2 years; very plausible.

While Giroux would be a nice add, I feel like he’ll want to find a team that has a chance for him to get a cup right away.

Right away might be out of reach, but with the Norris and Bath injuries, we're showing we have the pieces in place to make a big leap next year,

Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson
Formenton-Stützle-Giroux

That's a top 6 that can make noise in the playoffs. If we re-sign Paul,

Paul-Pinto/White-Brown looks like a potentially high end 3rd line

We'll have to wait a bit longer, but by the end of the season we'll know where Sanderson fits in, and Brannstrom is really proving himself too, and Murray seems to be finally playing as they hoped he would.

Chabot-Thomson?
Sanderson-Zub
Brannstrom-Holden
Zaitsev

Murray
Gus

What really are the remaining question marks this team has? A partner for Chabot (JBD or Thomson we hope), Sanderson to be the stud we believe him to be (might be confirmed by end of season) a 2nd line RW.

The dream is for him to go to a cup contender at the deadline and win the cup this year, so he can then sign with us in the offseason.

Can we make it a reportable offense to suggest Jimmy should move to wing?

He looked far more engaged right from his first game in the middle but it is amazing to see how quickly he is improving there. Straight up dominating with puck on the regular now AND playing more physical, more determined D.

The type of guy who grows with a challenge...I can see him being great on FO in the next couple of years too.
