From the Sun:
"At this point, Stuetzle can return against the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night at the Canadian Tire Centre."

Great, just in time for the next postponed game.

I've found him to be noticeably better than last year and actually being a good defensive forward but these numbers surprise me. I'm guessing these stats use zone exits as a main parameter. He's really good at skating the puck out of our end.

Whatever it is it's great to see. The kid hasn't turned 20 yet and he seems to be getting it at ends of the ice.

I think it’s becoming apparent than Timmy is a centre. He’s been better at both ends since the move. With Forms on his left we have the making of a really, really good top 3 lines. We need a winger to play with them and then go

Tkachuk Norris Batherson
Formenton Stuetzle Giroux
Paul Pinto Brown
Sanford Gambrell Watson.

Jimmy at centre has been a great surprise. I bought into him as an LW but you can see how much better he is doing playing at centre. In addition to being a super talented player, he's also high character and I wonder if the extra responsibility isn't pushing him to be even better.

He looks good at center. He needs to build wayyyyy more lower body/core strength to stay on balance. If he did, he'd be such a better player (and center) for it.

As much as I hate to admit this, he needs to do the Sidney Crosby training regime.

Switch Sanford and Gambrell with Sokolov and Greig.

Why do you hate to admit that?

Sid has crazy leg and core strength and it would be amazing if Jimmy could get close to that.

Either way Stützle has been showing signs of how special he can be for a while now.

Physically engaged, defensively aware yet still creating.

I do agree with you @Sensmileletsgo that he needs to start getting to the middle of the ice and to the dirty areas more but I hope that will come. Hard to remember but has he even played 82 games yet?

Can someone compile his stickhandling clinics last 2 games? Legit brilliant work. One can even post his defensive plays. What a turnaround by the kid. Tonight he showed he can truly handle the C position.

He's been realllly noticeable in defensive zone. Helping with breakouts, subtle plays, and much more. It's been amazing to see.

I posted a similar post showing Stutzle's impact defensively and few posters laughed at it. They know who they are, lol.

Stutzle is going to be a superstar.

With the emergence of Josh Norris the Sens should really consider trading Stützle for a defensive upgrade.. Can't see where Stützle truly fits on this offense once Pinto is back.
This has to be satire.

When he gets stronger he is going to be a force. Giroux would be an amazing linemate for him to have. A veteran player with elite offensively instincts would be incredible for his game and development.

For Crosby, a lot of it is genetics though. He is very thick and strong from the waist down. That's why he has such great balance and is very hard to knock off the puck (along with his other talents of course).

If we can secure a solid young #1 defender to play with Chabot, we will be in a very competitive position as a team.
We already have Sanderson coming and One of Zub/JBD/Lassi to play with Chabot. You don’t trade a future superstar especially for a place we already have organizational depth.

There is 0 guarantee that this will happen. Stutzle's body of work so far does not point in that direction. He's on pace for another 40ish points this year? Certainly does not scream future superstar in anyway..

10 points last 11 games. Significantly improved defensive game(some of the best on the team). Playing C.

Last year he was on pace for 40 points and very weak defensive game as a winger.

If you can't see the difference, lol, jokes on you.

Id advise you dont waste your time on this it has to be a joke, if it isnt then again dont worry about it. Its wild that anyone that follows hockey doesnt understand that 99% of players dont even play in the league at this age.

I'm a little more conservative on my prospect readiness assessment.

Sokolov - another year in the AHL with the goal of top 9 forward in 2023/24

Greig - next year in Belleville

Thomson/JBD - winner takes bottom pair on right side eventually replacing Zaitsev.

Kleven - next year UND followed by a year in Belleville

Jarventie - next year in Belleville, maybe some of 2023/24 as well.

Boucher - next year with the 67s followed by at least half a season in the AHL, probably a full season.
