I just added NyQuil_Jr in August.

That’s one more Sens fan.

Or I’ll have to disown him because he’ll cheer for whatever team Connor Bedard plays for.

Congratulations on your new born son. I have two; one loved hockey, the other was more into the arts. No girls but I wish we did have a girl or two too.

They got the donuts? Excellent....
Man this is huge that he can play center

We were never gonna be able to trade for a legit number 1C

Norris Stützle Pinto down the middle is sexy

We just need some wingers to help Timmy's offensive flair

White would be a good complement if he can stay healthy. Maybe Sokolov/Jarventie/Greig can be the other winger.

Then Pinto plays with Brown and Formenton/Paul.

Assennayo.

Well, Pinto and Sokolov are in there so I'm not exactly sure.

I've been sort of down on Connor Brown this year because I expected big strides from him after the WCs. He did get married in the off-season and that can mess with your preparation.

But I did check his stats and 13 points in 21 games isn't horrible - just lower tier for a 2nd line.

13 points in 21 games is approximately 50 points over an entire season, which is definitely decent 2nd line scoring, however, Connor Brown is not a very dynamic player so he does not necessarily fit the description of a 2nd line winger even if his production is representative of it.

I could be wrong on that though, but 50 points is definitely way too much to be considered a 3rd liner, what do you think?

Ya 50 points is good production, but I think there’s several 3rd liners in the league who if given top six minutes could put up 50 points. However, they are still more suited for a third line role like Brown is

It has more to do with my expectations based on how he ended last season.

I’m not sure if our first line will compete with some of the big guns around the league which means our depth will have to be better IMO.

Ideally we can get pop from our 2nd and 3rd lines with the 4th playing that dedicated energy/physical role.

Stutzle had a really solid game tonight in all three zones. That 2nd line with a ton of speed, skill, some size & very good two way play should really help with the secondary scoring this team has needed so badly.

He is a centre. feel for Pinto tho really thought he was gonna have that second line C spot on lock this year.

No shame if Pinto starts his career off as the #3 behind Norris and Stützle...just roll 3 lines and figure things out down the road.

Stützle making the transition to centre though is such a game changer for this franchise, imagine being able to play 50-53 minutes a game with one of Norris, Stützle or Pinto jumping over the boards. All 3 are defensively responsible and all 3 are a threat offensively, it is beautiful.

Timmy transitioning to centre is huge. He has been handling the defensive responsibilities well, and transitioning from the defensive zone well. Also allows him way more touches of the puck through the middle.

If Stutzle can continue to develop into a very good offensive centre, that could be a massive positive for the sens. Adding a top 6 winger is much easier than trying to find a top 2 centre.

If Stutzle can improve his faceoffs percentage. I think he is better already defensively now then any top 10 offensive centers in this league. Get to 70-80 points production. He is 11 million a year player. Just for a reason, he is fun to watch and he is very dynamic. Sens should be super lucky if he signs for Tkachuk's money. I strongly believe Stutzle will be producing in a few years with better wingers 90-100 points a season.

Timmy, Brown and Giroux would be a fantastic 2nd line

Urban Dictionary: Ginger Power

Brown needs to go (from the top 6). Imo. Formenton is a LW and G plays RW anyways, so its a match made in heaven on paper.

Just adding Giroux in the offseason instantly transforms the look of this team up front into that of one that can actually contend.

And we owe it to Stutzle to give him one elite linemate to play with in these upcoming prime scoring years of his. And its what this team needs - we need to take advantage of the fact that finally, we once again have a top line that DEMANDS the other teams match up properly against them. A killer second line could do massive damage considering how they arent facing the toughest opposition at ES on any given night.

Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson
Formenton-Stutzle-Giroux
Greig-Pinto-Brown
Paul-White-Watson

The work is done up front imo - just sub in standout prospects from Belleville as required over the next couple years. The ones that kick down the door and take a spot from someone we actually like. Heck maybe even a top pick from this years draft to add to the mix,

We wont be lacking scoring, talent, grit, speed, character - point being is that all of the glaring holes are patched and we are ready to go.. Its the D and G positions that get all the attention from the day we sign Giroux.

Also, it's a pretty sweet bonus to use an "extra" center near the end of games as a winger to have a good backup for draws. Even if Pinto ends up as a 3C, he can still get some time in the top 6 in certain situations.

He was compared to Brad Richards in his scouting report and he’s looking like him. If he had a winger who could carry the puck and he could just focus on shooting and not have Stuztle worry about being the puck carrier and puck distributor all the time he’d be so much more effective. When he has a shooters mentality he’s much more dangerous
