Player Discussion Tim Stützle - (C) - Part VI

IMO he's already one of the the best 10 (or even 5) players to watch.

Top 20 for certain IMO and heading into the top 15 as early as next season. Perhaps top 10 in 2 or 3 seasons.

Top 15 is:
1.McDavid
2. Makar
3. Draisaitl
4. MacKinnon
5. Mathews
6. Crosby
7. Pastrnak
8. Kucherov
9. M. Tkachuk
10.Roberston
11. Rantanen
12. Nugent-Hopkins
13. Petterssen
14. Karlsson
15. Marner
16. Point

As a Canucks fan, I realize that my previous assessments of Tim Stutzle may have been tainted by my inherent bias. However, I’ve come to the conclusion that Stutzle may outshine Pettersson this season, much like I once asserted about Pettersson eclipsing Marner.

I suspect this viewpoint isn’t new to many of you, and there may already be a consensus that he’s a better player.

With fresh eyes, I’m thrilled to declare Stutzle as my favorite player in the NHL outside the Canucks

They're both top-10 players in their prime. I don't see the point in nitpicking who is 7 or 8 or 9 on that list.

x- Norris - Batherson can be a promising 2nd line

Looks like you’ve removed the highest scoring member of the line.

Its decidedly less promising, X just doesn’t have the pedigree…. ;)
Debrincat LOL. Looks like the more pessimistic predictions were correct and on the mark the whole time. The multiple offers from more teams than Detroit was never real like some claimed. Even Dorion said in his interview that he was really only negotiating with one team (Detroit) all along. Looks like it was always to be a one-year rental. Some people can read the writing on the wall better than others. ;)

You must have long arms to Pat yourself on the back like this! Haha….

I don’t mind being wrong sometimes, and I enjoy the candidness from Pierre sharing all the details so we have some clarity in terms of what went down. It’s also demonstrative of how little we, the ‘insiders’ and media in general know of what is actually going on behind the scenes.

I always prefer being optimistic because that’s how I like living my life. I’m glad that you somehow found a reward for your pessimism though, it adds a nice little bit of positivity to it now doesn’t it ;)

The post you quoted was about top 10 to watch.

Stuetzle certainly is one on the top players in the league to watch....there's a serious wow factor with him..

RNH does not belong there.

Almost lost the puck right in front of his own goal. Yikes. Then a nice play to carry it up ice, deke the D and shoot. Gotta stop the high risk plays.

I don’t think he would make that move in front of his net in the NHL but just a cool clip of him at 17 yrs old embarrassing everyone on the ice except the goalie

I was going to post the same Random Comment.

Outlier season, that's it. He is a fine player but nothing like the others.

Would take off Robertson and Rantanen as well. They are top players but not really electric.

RNH is trash. The most overrated player in the NHL
I don't think he's trash by any means. He's an average 2C which is disappointing for a 1OA, but he's above average at every aspect of the game. Issue is, he's not elite in any aspect.

Being a good PP guy, its good but he wouldn't be scoring PPG without the talent he's played with. He benefits from playing with McDrai more than those two do with him on their PP.

Stu is definitely better than him as well.

Even if he doesn't belong with those names listed, he's in the conversation of 3rd best forward on that team and is on a steal of a contract.
At his contract, he is such a steal if he produces more than 50 points. Even on playoff cup contenders, he's the 3rd or 4th best forward and on our roster would only be behind Stu, Tkachuk, Giroux (maybe Norris if his playmaking abilities develop)

Ya, RNH is awesome for his contract. Pretty hard nosed player for a skilled guy. One of the last players on that team to complain about. I'm not sure if I like him or Hyman more, but they're the next most important forwards for them behind the big 2 imo.

If he was legit going to be playing with McDavid the next 4 seasons, I would put money on him doing it.
