Even Dorion said in his interview that he was really only negotiating with one team (Detroit) all along. Looks like it was always to be a one-year rental. I don't think he's trash by any means. He's an average 2C which is disappointing for a 1OA, but he's above average at every aspect of the game. Issue is, he's not elite in any aspect.
Trash is way overboard . Not many NHL teams would not want RNH. Most want him in the top 6. Overrated in some scales but he is still a very good smart player.
At his contract, he is such a steal if he produces more than 50 points. Even on playoff cup contenders, he's the 3rd or 4th best forward and on our roster would only be behind Stu, Tkachuk, Giroux (maybe Norris if his playmaking abilities develop)
Ya, RNH is awesome for his contract. Pretty hard nosed player for a skilled guy. One of the last players on that team to complain about. I'm not sure if I like him or Hyman more, but they're the next most important forwards for them behind the big 2 imo.
