Anyone think he will break the Ottawa Senators record for most points in a season (Heatley - 105) eventually? Perhaps even next season?
only about 10 players will break a 100 points this year.

and only about 8 guys will hit 105 points or more.

Brady T will top out at ~ 85 points.

All of this, with goal scoring at the levels of the 1990's!!!

Point production has flattened out in the NHL and is not as top heavy.

It could mean that the record is safe for a while. I am not sure if any present roster player is that productive and if the system allows a heavy concentration of point production from 1 guy.

Yes. Scoring is way way up across the league.
yes, at 1990's levels. But, the systems used today has meant a flatter point production. Other than Edmonton, no team really has a point getter that is tearing things up. In Edmonton's case they have 2.

I have more details in one post up.

Not sure if he'll break Heatley's record, scoring is up, but Heatley was on one of the best lines in hockey, a very good coach and had good puck moving defenders.

Definitely possible tho, the talent and work ethic is there

The sequence of events that led us to drafting Timmy is kinda nuts.

1. The Sharks having to trade their 2020 1st to us since they already dealt their 2019 1st.
2. The Sharks collapsing after a great previous year.
3. A WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC ending the season early enough for the Sharks to finish 3rd from the bottom.
4. The Sharks pick managing to win a lottery spot,
5. The Kings picking Byfield over Stutzle.

Byfield is a 2OA in his D+3 season that hasn't yet fully cracked an NHL lineup. I think there's a lot of people pretty disappointed with him at this point, starting with LA management.

I can't imagine the shit show in here if we were 2OA and chose Byfield

And that's without watching what Stuetzle is becoming
I'd take Byfield for Branny.

Arguably the most electrifying player in this team’s history already, and there’s been a lot of those

Him and Sandy have been the bright spots on a disappointing season...That draft may go down as our very best ever...First line Center, top pairing defender, and a gritty top 9 center

This is point per game plus, no longer wobbly baby giraffe, constant captain shit Brady erasure.

I would argue this was by design. The Sharks 2019 pick that was traded to Buffalo was lottery protected. Had the Sharks missed the playoff in 2019, we would have gotten their 2019 1st round pick instead.

The 1st round pick we got from San Jose in the Karlsson trade was the opposite of lottery protected, it was lottery boosted. It meant that if San Jose missed the playoffs at least one of the 2019 or 2020 seasons, we were guaranteed a lottery pick. It's a key detail alot of people didn't notice at the time of the trade.
