Lol there is definitely people with connections to the team and I am definitely not one . Not wound up at all. I’ll trust a actual insider when it comes to draft lists tho

Agree. Stutzle is way more physical than Havlat or Bure. That part of his game is only going to develop as he gets older and stronger.

Absolutely. Scouts would rather die in a house fire than show anyone their draft boards, and I'm only half joking. They take the secrecy element of this VERY seriously...
 
Also, he had 18 points in 14 games in Jan., which is the same as for last April.
If he can do that (1.29 P/GP) in the last 32 games he finish with 90 points.

I was aware that he was a good person and teamate but that bit I did not know. Its awesome to hear because a lot of players with that much natural skill just don't find the motivation or need to put inn the extra work
 
Thank God the Kings drafted Byfield at number 2 and not Stutzle. Timmy fell right into our laps.
By field has scored 7 goals 13 assists in his career. Timmy scored 10 goals this month! And had 18 points this month.

It's a long race. Byfield is still 20.

Do I think he'll be better than Tim? Probably not but let's not dump on Byfield.


Too many Sens fans doing that on the main board already. Some already saying he's a bust.

Nowhere in my post did I say Byfield was or is a bust in my post. I was only posting the statistics so far.
But I am glad we have Timmy over Byfield though.

I'm probably being unfair to you. Apologies.

Just seeing a lot of Sens fans on the main board be weirdly hostile in regards to young players the last day or two, and I guess I felt I needed to throw a little water on things and for whatever reason it ended up being here and now.

Byfield is a 2OA in his D+3 season that hasn't yet fully cracked an NHL lineup. I think there's a lot of people pretty disappointed with him at this point, starting with LA management.

I can't imagine the shit show in here if we were 2OA and chose Byfield

And that's without watching what Stuetzle is becoming

Even knowing full well that Byfield was a longer project, it would be hard not to have disappointment creeping in the back of the mind already when looking at what Tim is doing.

To be fair to Byfield, he's had injuries and a lost OHL season to overcome. But I'm certainly glad the way that those two picks ended up. This place would be an even rougher read if he was Senators property.
