friday gave feeling to drink up some , more than most people of beer

and make a pizza paddle ...three pieces of wood together as such. sanding of course and the fun part of electric planing for the bevel
.... started at 3/32 depth to get the feel and then go

....use it to slide the dough on to the stone.... smooth......

can also be used to serve but then i wound have to hit you over the head with it as that's not why made it.

pizza was mushroom, onion and spicy sausage.....and some hot peppers on half.
Is that a recent pic? You don't have any gray in your beard? Aren't you close to my age :)

I won't grow a beard anymore. I did during the pandemic and it was all white but my hair really isn't at all... kind of strange. But I looked like Santa

Edit pandemic/Santa Claus beard ... won't be doing that again 😂

How do you guys in the US (NJ/NYC area) watch Devils' away games? I keep reading about these blackouts, in Europe the channel that has NHL rights of course shows all games.

So was just wondering how to watch Devils hockey in the US. Should i get a VPN and watch the EU service provider's stream or what's the easiest way in the US (and no blocked games).

I just signed up for ExpressVPN. Cost me $100 for 15 months with a promo. Add to that ESPN+ for $10 per month. I can select from approximately 10 locations in the US for VPN. So for about $16 per month vs. $75 per month with FUBO, that's how I'm watching the Devils this season.

I won't even grow a beard anymore, as it's pretty damn gray. The chin and sideburns particularly. I never really cared for growing a beard, but I've done it a few times. Most recently about 1.5-ish years ago for about a month.

Mine isn't quite as gray as yours, but if I'm not mistaken, you have about 5-6 years on me? I fully expect it to be that gray in about 5-6 years.

Born 1970. It's so strange though because my hair is not really gray at all. Few here and there of course, but nothing remotely close to my facial hair.

I saw my first gray hair on my head at a much younger age than my beard. I think I was 18. I might have seen one every other year in my head between the age of 18 and probably started to see a few here and there by my early 30's. I wanna say 32-33.

I didn't see a single piece of gray in my beard until I was 31, but I started to see a lot more in beard from then on than on my head.

I'm seeing a lot of gray these days on the side of head and a few on top that aren't very noticeable. I normally shave the sides of my head (and back) to a 0 and leave some on top. I find myself doing it at least once a month now. I used to sometimes let it go every 6 weeks, but I gotta do it a little more now.

My personal (fairly low) self opinion of myself is that I've aged a lot more in the last 3 years than I did in the 10 years before that. Which has nothing to do with the gray hair, but of course to help combat the aging process a bit, I've really had to keep up on cleaning up my hair and beard, which is something I can control.

Everybody I've told that I've aged a lot says I'm crazy and that's not really how I'm perceived, but I almost never shock people anymore when I tell them how old I am, which I used to when I was just a little bit younger.

76 for me, but very early in 76.

I also purposely don't share my birthday, because I don't wanna be put on the spot with happy birthday threads and all that (not that I've ever seen a happy birthday thread on this forum), but it's the 31st of January.

At least it isn't February 29th, which I believe I was born in a leap year.

Enjoy!

Nice day here too. It's been beautiful since Ian came through. Sunny almost every day. Not quite as humid anymore. One of the better months of the year.

Pretty soon there'll be a zillion snowbirds here dodging all the Canadian/Northeast/Mid Atlantic cooler temps.

I wish I had friends who golfed. My clubs are just sitting in storage, waiting for me to make friends who golf. And since I don't make new friends because I am old and lazy, it's just never going to happen.

I have friends who golf, but I've never gotten into it. I haven't invested in clubs and I rarely go with them when they play.

I'm reasonably ok at it when I play, but it's not something I want to put significant energy into improving.

I've been going to Oak Ridge Park in Clark 2/3 times a week for a few months bird watching. There's an area with a lot of bushes and trees where I ALWAYS hear cardinals but they never come out. Cardinals are my favorite birds along with blue jays. Down at our shore house, there used to be a cardinal in the yard every morning sitting on the fence and my grandfather used to think it was his father watching over him.

My grandfather passed last year and we sold the house in Normandy Beach... so now any time I see cardinals in the wild I always think it's him. They finally came out for me today!

Also to illustrate how early I was out this morning, a bunch of Common Grackles flying in front of the moon.

Has anyone been to a boxing night? On Saturday its Helenius vs. Wilder at Barclays Center. Ive never seen live boxing but since im in the city and a Finn is challenging Wilder, i thought maybe i should go.

Ive understood theres like 3 other fights before the main event. Around what time is the main fight usually? Do people often skip the prior fights and only come see the main fight? Or how does it go? Watching boxing for 6 hours straight alone doesnt sound too tempting to me...

Go. Live boxing is electric! I haven't been in many many years but in the late 80's early 90's I used to go to events frequently...And I never ever skipped the under cards...most of the times they were the best fights :)

Good info thanks. We're looking to move back to NJ and in the house hunting process, and a few towns in Somerset County are high on our list.

I have lived in Somerset County since 2000. Took a little getting used to coming from North Jersey but I love it here.
