I need hockey back lmaoyou are dedicated. and well done.
Any gentle and playful dog is great. That aside a golden doodle probably weighs 75-85 pounds. Hardly little.German shepherds, huskies are dogs to me. These… little abominations, are the “shit” that’s leftover ala Danny Devito in Twins.
Don’t we all.I need hockey back lmao

And now, another episode of a day in the life of Patrik Elias…
Patty just finished a rousing round of tennis with his wife, who beat him in a tie break.
He takes a sip of his spritz and says,” I think they put too much Aperol. Going to ask for a splash of Camapari to even it out”.
Huskies and Shepard’s (all black long haired Shepard I’d love to have) are by far my favorite dogs , but no way I can have one. I’m allergic to them (type of fur they have and shedding ), plus I just don’t have the time to walk and run them as much as they should be.German shepherds, huskies are dogs to me. These… little abominations, are the “shit” that’s leftover ala Danny Devito in Twins.

Mine's 65. Large for the city, medium for the suburbs I'd say.Any gentle and playful dog is great. That aside a golden doodle probably weighs 75-85 pounds. Hardly little.
Our female golden is about 75 pounds and the male is about 85. He should probably lose a few but he's never quite run the same after his partial ACL tear. Yup, he will never play for the Cowboys again. They are stuck with Zeke instead of Beau.Do her, do her.

My boys gently and kindly call Beau "Big Dummy". They say it so sweetly while they are petting him. He is a big dummy but he is one of the kindest sweetest dogs we've ever had. He wouldn't hurt a fly. He loves when someone pets him and plays with him which consists of taking whatever toy he has in his mouth and then putting it back in his mouth. He will stand there holding the tug of war rope while the female growls and pulls on it. That's always fun to watch. She can't overpower him and he doesn't pull at all he just holds it and stands there. Eventually she gets frustrated and barks angrily at him and he will drop the rope. We've had six Goldens over the the years. They are predictable and with three kids separated by some years in age we've almost always had a small child in the house and I've never had to worry about leaving them alone with any of the dogs.Ha my dog is called Beau too.
Female border terrier. Complete shithouse, love her.
that's an excellent dog for someone without kids. A very good and loyal companion. I could not have had a dog like that in a house full of boys of varying ages. I cannot imagine having to call someone's parents from the ER to explain that their kid was getting stitches or worse because my dog bit them. The beauty of the variety of dogs is that they can match the right dog to the right owner. She's adorable and I'm glad you found each other.Really enjoying the dog pics.
I have this mean little ankle biter.

She’s almost 5 years old in either November or December. Chihuahua/terrier mix. She’s the most precious thing to me, but she barks a lot and isn’t the most friendly with strangers. Especially men. I’ve had her for 4 years this month. She seems to warm up to women more than men, but she never did warm up at all to the ex-girlfriend (for great reason, she knows a deceitful person when she sees one), but she did eventually like her son after a while. She will bark at people that come by that she’s known ever since I’ve had her. And one of my constant lines I say over and over again is “Not many people like this type of dog!” Haha.
She’s very needy too. And she’s terribly spoiled!
Labs and Goldens are quite similar in my experience. Labs a bit more energetic. Intellect can vary. The smartest dogs I've seen are my in-laws German Shepherds and our first female golden. She was incredibly smart. I know herding dogs can be quite smart as well but they are "on" all the time. My oldest son's college girlfriend had a Welsh Corgi. She was a wonderful dog. Smart playful and fun. But it was like having a 100 mph Roomba in the house. It was adorable to watch our male golden play with the corgi. He would put her head in his mouth and let her go. He never bit her or hurt her or pressed hard. The Corgi loved it too. Our female golden never warmed up to the Corgi and was probably relieved when the relationship ended and the Corgi no longer visited. My kids are convinced that we will get more dogs when the youngest heads off to college but I think two is plenty. We have a Redbone Coonhound named Jasper, a Shepard/Lab mix named Otis and a Plott Hound mix named Belle. They are 95, 90 and 65 lbs. Hounds are the best with Labs coming in second.
Mine's a treeing walker coonhound. Due to her coloration we believe she may have some redbone in her.We have a Redbone Coonhound named Jasper, a Shepard/Lab mix named Otis and a Plott Hound mix named Belle. They are 95, 90 and 65 lbs. Hounds are the best with Labs coming in second.

Did you paint her like one of your French girls?Mine's a treeing walker coonhound. Due to her coloration we believe she may have some redbone in her.
I've owned several breeds in my life but these things are, let's say peculiar. And this is coming from a guy who had a Shiba as well as an Akita/Shepherd mix.
They take a very different kind of training and patience if you're not using them for hunting. Fortunately she's come a very long way even though COVID really f***ed with her socialization training.
Love her to bits and she's great now though, and I'm pretty sure the sentiment is reciprocal.
If you're on IG follow Jonathan's Journal. She's great and lays out the trajectory of having one pretty well.
Case in point, this is how she sleeps occasionally:
